Resource 2021 Membership - *56,532 (Audited Membership Record) as at July 28th

2,400 increase since 11th January. Slow increase.

A 75% capacity at AO should see all reserved seat members whose seat isn't killed by AFL Covid protocols, get to sit in their seats, if the membership take up keeps at this pace.

Figure would include the 8,000 AO Football members. Can't see the club changing that marketing policy.

It’s seems lower. Especially after finishing top.

If we get the package before round 1 then it's on time. Never quite understand the impatience. The last few years they've sent it out very early, but before that they usually got it out in the week or 2 before the first game which is fine.

Would love to see some stats on our membership numbers. Is the drop from the members who lacked guaranteed tickets last year, and the 11 gamers have stuck thick?

I think that because they’ve traditionally come early people use them as Christmas gifts etc. personally the later they come the better as there is less chance I’ll lose them.

Rowe spoke to both Port - Steve Shirley and the crows, how they will handle the 40,000 crowd limit.

In audio link below they talk to Sam Jacobs for first 7 minutes then between 7.05 - 7.50 they talk about trying to get an explanation about why its capped at 40k, and why its safe for a bay to be full but can't have all the stadium full. They have tried to talk to SA Health, SMA and AMA who haven't explained why its safe to have full bays but then have to have big gaps.

Steve Shirley from 7.50 onward says that whilst its a 75% or 40,000 capacity at AO. 37,000 normal seats and 3,000 corporate seats, but many of those corporates seats are sold with memberships.

Membership packs start going out this week. Steve Shirley said most would be sent out next week and arrive before round 1.

23,000 x 11 game Reserved Seats members at the moment. Club expects 80% of these members will sit in their normal seats.

About 4,000 will be moved to equivalent value seats because of AFL protocols like nobody in Row A at ground level etc.

At 40,000 all existing 11 game General Admin members and reduced access ie 3 and 6 game members will get access to the game and given an allocated seat. Think we have had about 7,000 GA x 11 gamers for all the years at AO except last year.

Port expects to be able to sell game day tickets to general public at these numbers.

Rowe said the crows have 42,000 x 11 reserved seat members. Jacobs says 80,000 members but pure seats is around 50,000 (but i think he means access members). Crows looking at having to come up with a ballot system. Jacobs didn't confirm 42,000 specifically but said its something around that.

The big query that nobody addressed is what is happening to the 8,000 AO SMA members??

Some of them buy reserved seats, most don't. How many of these seats will be allocated to the 4,000 members who will be moved from their seats to equivalent seats around the ground??

The only reason I can think of for full bays, but gaps, is if there is a person infected it will limit to their bay having to isolate for 14 days rather than 40k. Of course for that to work people won’t be allowed to move around outside their seated bay for food, drink, catch up with mates etc. Plus every single ticket tied to a fixed seat each game.
