The club's just emailed me with a reminder that i still have a spare free membership to give away for this year. Anyone looking for a free GA membership this year? I can't remember how many games it's for but if you're interested PM me.
X2

the person I sent it to hasn't taken it up.

Does anyone know if these numbers are all paid up members or include the free membership you could opt in for?

So no update for 9 weeks from the club. Some outsiders suggesting our figures are rubbery and a lot can't be counted in the official figures.

There is a cutoff date after which membership sales are no longer counted, I'm trying to recall whether that was the end of May or not. Figures usually aren't official until audited by the AFL and are often revised down by them.

Our numbers are rubbery. Free memberships have been handed out. I’d love to know how many of our 81,000 members have actually paid

Pretty sure it is July 31. Just strange that we didn't update our tally for 2 months when the other clubs did.

Ah okay, well if other clubs have been updating still then it's very odd indeed, would love to know why we stopped as well.

What’s the point of pushing the envelope with your numbers if you’re still only just behind Collingwood and Essendon. Why the hell didn’t we push a bit more into third place?!

I'd say the way Essendon have played was above expectation whereas the way we played stopped our drive dead in its tracks.

Odd considering we have won the same number of games, but they are definitely more enthused than us.

To be fair they have lost 4 games by the margins of 1, 2, 3 and 7 points.

But a lot of people have said they’re rebuilding based on the fact that they had 3 top 10 picks - which hardly qualifies as a rebuild. However fact remains they should have been a bottom 4 team and they aren’t.

Doesn't the official afl figures only include membership numbers who have made a financial contribution to the club?

If so that's a fanfastic performance. Agree that the $ value will be interesting.

I think we were selling some $1 memberships in there as well.

I'd love to see a breakdown of the memberships to see what is sustainable and what is just a marketing tool.
