Needs to average 85 to be worth it and that makes him almost a keeper.I keep looking at Fantasia. People forget how good he is and now forward in a team that could beat up on a few.
Dont see it happening.

By this rationale you could rule out the majority of mid pricers people are looking at.Needs to average 85 to be worth it and that makes him almost a keeper.

True but Caldwell playing in the guts might average 90-95 which reflects the price difference to Fantasia.By this rationale you could rule out the majority of mid pricers people are looking at.
Interesting its Caldwell I’m thinking of punting for him.True but Caldwell playing in the guts might average 90-95 which reflects the price difference to Fantasia.
Pay a bit more now but get a bloke who could definitely become a FWD keeper.
Less risk cash wise with Fantasia but way more risk that you end up trading him without making 150k
Gotta tread your own path mate. Makes sense to me to get the most for my money and i rate Caldwells abilty at 350k more than fantasias at 258k.Interesting its Caldwell I’m thinking of punting for him.
Training the house down this summer, beat his PB in the time trial by 30 seconds apparently. Looked good vs Lions the other day. It's probably a make or break season for him as he was put up for trade and there were no takers.Thoughts on Will Brodie?
I wonder how much of that was due to being very unhappy at Essendon? Rhetorical question as no one would know for sure.
In fairness, I would know him if he walked past me in the street. Could be a great pick. Just dont like Essendon and their players. They generally have let me down in the past. Ridley in my team currently and he has been the recent shining light. Whatcha him crash and burn this year.Disagree, Caldwell will be a gun player.
I want to fit him into my team but can't unfortunately.
...Also, here's a league for this madness:

guns and rookies. safer than bricks and mortarFinding it very hard to fit in all of the midpricers I want.
Should I drop Phillips to squeeze in Tyson?
Maybe I should drop Clark in the back like, go full primo in defence, and then have all the midfield and forward midpricers on offer.
It’s so hard to decide. I’m like a kid in a candy shop.

How does he all of a sudden become best 22 in a rebuilding team having been nowhere near for 2 years?

You are in the wrong thread my friend.guns and rookies. safer than bricks and mortar
I had him that year. Began my life long obsession with midpricers and high priced rookies. If I start him again this year I’ll have come full circle.
After the preseason matches, this is my updated list:Looking between $300k to $460k, I reckon you can make a genuine claim for the following blokes:
DEF:
Zilliams, Witherden, Duggan, Clark, Luko, Harmes
MID:
Taranto, Daicos, Serong, LDU, Anderson, Green, Heppell, Sier, Hately
FWD:
Heeney, Greene, Jartin, Langford, De Goey, Bailey, Phillips, Rayner, Cameron, Rozee, Rankine, Caldwell, TMac
Any that I've missed?
I reckon under $350k you can get away with picking them as a stepping stone, but anything above $350k, you need to be confident they'll be a keeper. There would be a bit of leeway in the middle, but down back and up forward, you need to back them in as keepers if you're picking them.
At the moment I have zero mid-pricers, probably the first time ever. If the rookies come, I'll be avoiding them.
Anything under $300k is just a cash cow...
guns and rookies is 4 sturdy walls and a s**t roofguns and rookies. safer than bricks and mortar
I feel dirty being in here but anyway........
I currently have Dow & Tyson. Someone talk me out of it please.
