Yeah I think so. And I think coming back to early didn't help.
I actually am only speculating cause of a couple of things I've seen.

coming back too early was part of it, but you'd think the surgeon was ok with it. not that he's short of a buck but it's cost him millions.

Remy would have to be one of the title favourites on a decent bike. Won't have to override the thing to get a result.

Agree but he will still ride the s**t out of it because he’s a go the rat type . Slightly measured I guess if he’s a podium wrap .

Who knows what he can do?
That last race last year I reckon I shed a tear. The way he let others pass him and set the pace and then come back was so good.

Yeah great post. He so deserved that win to prove he’s worthy top level and subsequently gained a factory with consistency.
