Jaguars hired Karim Kassam as Senior VP of Football Operations Strategy.
The team simultaneously promoted Tony Khan to Chief Football Strategy Officer. Kassam is expected to oversee the organization's analytics departments while handling and monitoring all salary cap administrations. Both he and Khan will report to Owner Shad Khan for the final say on football operations. Kassam most recently served as the director of baseball research for the Minnesota Twins, leading the baseball research department and overseeing analytics in the areas of scouting, player development, and biomechanics.

49ers promoted Adam Peters to assistant general manager.
Peters, who was hired by the 49ers in 2017 as vice president of player personnel, is widely considered to be an up-and-coming general manager candidate. He'll serve as the team's assistant GM in 2021 alongside general manager John Lynch, who in a Friday statement called Peters a "tremendous asset" to the 49ers. Peters got his start as a scouting assistant for the Patriots in the early-2000s.

Reading a reddit about Bienemy.....he was interviewed again and/or considered for an interview multiple times and lost out.....because of multiple reasons.....not only that Reid is the real offensive mind in KC, but also because Bienemy has a checkered legal history, such as assaulting parking attendant, some racist or sexist remarks and such. Too much baggage/questions. Thinking is he still might get a go as a HC but might be a Hue Jackson-esque outcome and then back to small time OC

Speaking of nepotism (or the Texans type)....and fracturing of clubs internally due to it, happening at Seattle too....

The key there is “briefly stepped away” as in as if you would have a similar job otherwise

Yes in position coaches. Head Coaches is still the same. 18 years ago there were 3. today there are still just 3.

GM's has also improved. The Real Sports segment went into it. and the frustration is real, one player/coach agent had a zoom meeting with about 12 black coaches and they used it to vent frustration and anger at the system, being passed over for nepotism or people with less qualified or experience coaches. They are getting passed over for idiots who have never been more than a position coach and then talk about cannibalism at an introductory press conference, You would be pissed too.

Even Mike Tomlin doesnt want to talk at the NFL run black coaches seminar anymore, because he has seen its pointless.

Here is an audio version of the segment

Itll take a little time (5-10 years before HCs take hold. All these new minority position coaches will progress to coordinators soon and then HCs soon after.
