Week 8 Chicago turn to Justin Fields after two straight gut wrenching loses to GB and TB which the defense dominates but they just can’t score points, on a three game skid themselves Jimmy G is out and in a desperate bid to save their season the 49ers turn to Trey Lance. Both QBs put on a show in a shootout with both defenses unable to deal with the QB run and on the last drive down 38-42 Lance takes the 9ers down the field and with 12 seconds left on a designed run dives for the pylon whilst3 bears defenders are tackling him. They call touchdown but after deliberating for what seems like forever they overturn the call controversially ruling him out of bounds. The next play he throw an INT in the end zone to end the game in despair for the 9ers.

Ive grown to pity them. Haven't a high quality QB since Sid Luckman. Jesus that's unfair.
