Brown hand picked the best players in the AAFC no doubt with ‘incentives’. There was no dilution. When they went to the NFL they still had those players hence their superiority still was in play.

By the way, have you seen the Bungles organization?

Paul Brown was a lot of things but lavishing players with money ain’t one

Yeah it’s Wiki but it’s a quote from George Cantor’s book…

Biggest difference between 1950s professional football and 2020 professional football is that in the 50s college football was the destination for many athletes with no ambition to be pro footballers....today it is the proving ground for a move to the NFL. Bigger pool of resources available to all teams and the route to professional football is the same for all teams and then they need to live by the same rules in regards roster management.

Slight edge? Looks like a broadsword edge to me

Hopefully Jones gets the nod from the jump if he's up to speed enough on the play book. Don't do a Matt Nagy if the kid is good enough to be your #1 QB day one.

Belichick will start whoevers better. Mind you, Jones will be far behind Newton in terms of knowing the playbook, thats a big hindrance. Belichick wont start Jones if he doesnt know much of it or struggles with the concepts. Also, theyre throwing to single receivers, no rush, no defense, etc. Lets see how Jones goes when awash with blitzes and disguised coverages

I read that BB sent the house numerous times on Jones in practice the other week, had his moments and wasn't Jordan Love terrible against it.

It’s early days…

Trying to be aggressive down field to quieten the naysayers will only confirm bust quicker, he needs to accept that his skill set doesn't allow him to do that and work on being the best Tua he can be rather than something he'll never be.

Miami should have taken the Arizona route and drafted another QB.
