Manu escapes the carnage for once.... Strange year 2021, it could happen!
Already lost Akers I guess in one team. But have a players in multiple teams. Let the fun begin!

Giants signed RB Alfred Morris.
With the Giants reportedly taking a "long term" approach with Saquon Barkley's recovering ACL, the team boosts its backfield depth with Morris, 32, who had 55 rushing attempts in nine games for Big Blue in 2020. Head coach Joe Judge said last week there's a "chance" Barkley could be a full go for Week 1, raising major doubts about the franchise back being held out for the first part of the regular season. Morris and Devontae Booker could share the backfield load if Barkley is out for a week or two to start the year. Neither will hold much fantasy value in the Giants' boring, unproductive offense.

NFL Network's Albert Breer said rookie TE Kylen Granson has "justified Frank Reich's pre-draft love."
The accidental Madonna reference (look it up, zoomers) is the latest hype for the fourth round rookie tight end out of SMU. Granson has reportedly made a "strong impression" at Colts camp and seems primed for some pass-catching duties this season. How much is anyone's guess. Colts tight ends in 2020 saw 120 targets, with the now-departed Trey Burton leading the group with 47. Granson will compete for targets with Mo Alie-Cox and Jack Doyle. At SMU, Granson played 50 percent of his snaps from the slot in two years with the Mustangs, averaging 16.1 yards per catch and finishing second in school history among tight ends in both receptions (78) and receiving yards (1,257). He only has fantasy value in deeper formats that artificially inflate tight end scoring.

Eagles WR Devonta Smith is considered "week to week" with a knee sprain.
ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports an MRI on Smith's injured knee "revealed relatively good news" for the rookie wideout. The team thought the injury could have been "something worse," per Fowler. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said there's "no cause for concern" for Smith's long-term outlook. The "week to week" designation probably means we won't see Smith -- the tenth pick in the 2021 NFL Draft -- this preseason. He still has a good shot to suit up for the Eagles' September 12 opener against Atlanta. Missing a big chunk of training camp isn't the best development for Smith; Jalen Reagor could become Philadelphia's default WR1 in his absence. Reagor, Travis Fulgham, and Greg Ward are the Eagles' starting wideouts with Smith sidelined. We'll surely see Smith's redraft ADP plunge in the next couple weeks.

Giants head coach Joe Judge said Saquon Barkley (ACL) is "making tangible progress" toward returning to practice.
Barkley, coming off an ACL tear that cost him almost the entire 2020 season, still isn't practicing but could join his teammates soon. "Saquon is making a lot of strides," Judge said. "He's making tangible progress. We're mirroring his rehab to the tempo and workload of the players who are practicing." Barkley on Monday was taking handoffs from the Giants' training staff, remaining to the side of the team's training camp practice. Barkley, whose Week 1 status will likely remain iffy throughout August, is slipping into the second round of 12-team drafts. Newly signed Alfred Morris and Devontae Booker should split carries early in the season if Barkley isn't ready to go.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Eagles WR DeVonta Smith will miss 2-3 weeks with an MCL injury.
Smith on Monday was listed as "week to week" after an MRI revealed a sprained knee. The 2-3 week timeframe would mean Smith will miss most or all of the preseason, though he should be OK for Week 1. The rookie will miss valuable camp time with Jalen Hurts, whose starting receivers without Smith will be Jalen Reagor, Travis Fulgham, and Greg Ward. Hurts reportedly connected with Reagor on a deep pass during Monday's training camp practice. Adjust the ranks.

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said WR Marquise Brown suffered a hamstring injury that's more significant than originally believed.
There's not yet a timeline for Brown's return to practice. The hamstring issue, according to The Athletic's Jeff Zrebiec, is more significant than the team first thought. It's a bad break for Brown, who came on at the end of the 2020 season. His absence could give rookie Rashod Bateman and journeyman Sammy Watkins a chance to emerge as the team's No. 1 receiver, though neither will see notable volume. Mark Andrews remains Lamar Jackson's top target.

Josina Anderson reports the Colts have had "no substantive point-to-point talks" for Bears QB Nick Foles.
32-year-old Foles is an obvious connection to coach Frank Reich given their experience together in Philadelphia, but the former's $6.6 million cap hit is an entirely different issue. Even with Wentz expected to miss the next 5-12 weeks after undergoing foot surgery, it's highly unlikely Indianapolis gets involved for the veteran backup. In the meantime, sophomore fourth-rounder Jacob Eason and rookie dual-threat Sam Ehlinger will continue to take all the reps they can handle to prepare for Week 1 of the regular season.

Broncos DE Bradley Chubb (ankle) returned to practice Monday.
It's the first time he's practiced since undergoing surgery to remove a bone spur in his ankle in May. He also said he'll "100 percent be ready to go" for Week 1 against the Giants. Having avoided the PUP list to open camp, Chubb should be back on the field at full health with zero limitations alongside Von Miller in no time.

Broncos coach Vic Fangio said the team's quarterback competition between Drew Lock and Teddy Bridgewater is "still even steven."
He also added that "there's been no separation" — the exact phrase he used when asked about the competition last week. The two are expected to continue splitting the first-team snaps 50-50 for the next three days ahead of Denver's off day on Thursday. Their performances during live preseason games will likely help Fangio declare a winner in August.
