This weeks egregiously bad officiating call....the "clubbing the head of the QB with his hands, roughing the passer" against the Saints. Was earlier in the game. On 3rd down at the goalline, Tannehill threw an INT in the endzone. Nullified by that penalty. Saints gallantly held them off again after the 1st down and half the distance to goal. Got them to 3rd down, incomplete. But another (less dosgy) DPI call, another 1st and G. This time, Titans scored a TD.

Before all this, it was something like 10-6 Titans leading. Either 3 or 0 wouldve been scored on that series instead of 7, and Saints would've won.

They always start fading over time, why you have to remain level-headed when judging young QBs after a few seasons. Same goes for QBs who start off rough early.

----

Justin Herbert completed 20-of-34 passes for 195 yards, one touchdown and an interception in the Chargers' 27-20, Week 10 loss to the Vikings.

The dud was Herbert's third in four weeks, with all three coming against well-coached defenses. His 195 yards matched the second fewest of his career.

Maybe Herbert will end up the same way he went in college, started with a bang and got steadily worse.

QBs end up finding a wave of statistical performance that averages out over their career. They might start hot like Mahomes, Herbert, Marino. Or slow like Manning, Brady etc. But eventually they find a 'mean' for themselves. It can never be 4000 and 40 TDs every year despite starting their careers with a couple of seasons of that. Can never be 1:2 or 1:3 TD:INT every year despite starting career poorly. Eventually they find their statistical mean. And therell be periods every year where they have a bad run of games.

you could see it coming from a mile away couldn't you. Elite run game against downright horrible run D, and then a young QB against a savy old school defensive HC.

Should've had more than 2 CR on the Vikes tbh

Just a disgraceful effort by the amateur head ball coach. But it matches the clear and obvious pattern for 1.5 seasons on him, coming only as a surprise to those being willfully blind to his many shortcomings.

As for the FO—isn’t it equally damning that to the extent the Browns had any professional efforts it was by yet another player aquired by the previous GM, D’Earnest Johnson.

Not ONE draft pick those stooges selected showed up—not one. (Well there were plenty of occasions of that prize selection JOK getting literally run over)

The “rebuilt” defense by the stooges is consistently exposed by any team of even mediocre ability.

The analytical algorithms will no doubt be working overtime this week and the reporters in the organizations back pocket will no doubt dream up articles to protect them.

Bottom line remains that any team that they cannot vastly “out talent” by and thru players they inherited they will lose to—often quite badly.

People are slowly waking up to it—but unfortunately much more pain must be endured before reality is seen.

The 3 stooges need to go and this miserable decision to let Depodesta and those like him run the organization must be seen for what it truly is: a FAILED experiment

It cannot end fast enough and should never be repeated again

Why would you flush Stefanski and Berry down the toilet? 2020 most auccessful year for decades. You need stability, continuity. There'll be bad games or times, but theyve only been at the job 1.5 seasons and you already want to destroy it. Even a bad 2021, theyre still 5-5. Five years ago youd have sworn anything to have seasons like this. Of course they can be better much to improve on, but that means time, years, a decade or longer as Browns HC and GM.

NFL. Network's Ian Rapoport reports DK Metcalf will be fined but not suspended for instigating a fight in Seattle's Week 10 loss to the Packers.
Metcalf pulled a Packers defender around by his face mask before throwing a punch as teammates tried to pry him away from the conflict. In what may have been an NFL first, Metcalf tried to re-enter the game after being tossed. Refs spotted him in the Seahawks huddle and ushered him back to the sideline, where he spent the final minute of Seattle's humiliating shutout loss. Metcalf caught three of eight targets for 26 yards against Green Bay. Russell Wilson's horrific play upon return from injury should be a concern for Metcalf drafters.

Feasting off the NFC Least last season and the Bungles does not a success make.
