Al Michaels is taking the week off. Wish the NFL flexed the game

Ravens/Chargers would of been better. couldnt be Arizona/Cleveland because the Browns have TNF week 7

He's gone imo. Raiders are going to come under massive pressure to fire him. Can't imagine they can withstand it. But who knows, the league does find any way it can to protect people like Gruden.

The players are also going to feel pretty shitty after they defended him yesterday, and now more comments have come out. I wonder how Karl Nassib feels about Gruden's language or how any player who's dealt with a concussion or cares about racial justice feels. Untenable surely.

There was talk lastweek the Raiders could use the email to fire him and get out of the stupid contract they are paying him.

The NFL cant do much because he wasnt an employee at the time. the Raiders can try and use it to sack him if they want.

Oh. I thought the only reason it may have been kept as SNF is because it'll be Big Bens last SNF game. But that loses a bit of it's appeal without Michaels. Ravens/Chargers is the one yeah.

Buccaneers remove Jon Gruden from Ring of Honor
Posted by Michael David Smith on October 12, 2021, 5:55 PM EDT

Jon Gruden was the first head coach ever to win a Super Bowl with the Buccaneers, but the franchise no longer views him worthy of a place in its Ring of Honor.

Less than 24 hours after Gruden resigned as head coach of the Raiders over years-old offensive emails, the Buccaneers announced that Gruden will no longer be in their Ring of Honor.

“The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have advocated for purposeful change in the areas of race relations, gender equality, diversity and inclusion for many years. While we acknowledge Jon Gruden’s contributions on the field, his actions go against our core values as an organization. Therefore, he will no longer continue to be a member of the Buccaneers Ring of Honor,” the team said in a statement.

With a career record of 57-55, Gruden won more games than any other head coach in Buccaneers franchise history.
