You didn’t include how many QB were allowed to fumble the ball and get a do-over during a SuperBowl:

Tom Brady.

Im on a Florio video wave. Here he and simms talk about how roughing the passer has gotten crazy out of hand and something needs to be done. Includes a post game comment from Rodgers saying it has got out of hand too..."you put pads and a helmet on like everyone else, so shouldnt be throwing flags for a hand to the head or a hard hit on the body"

There was a telling quote in the game today "the NFL is going to protect the QB, particularly those that drive the ratings...."

With this kind of attitude, and the drive down the gambling path, I'm starting to reconsider my love for NFL.

Yep, and the emailgate fiasco, etc. A lot of us here. XFL is a last hope for football without political BS and fixings.

Youre placing a lot of faith in Vince McMahon. Dont get your hopes up.

Also, Dwayne Johnson and some other guy bought the rights to that. Not McMahon. Still Johnson, from that sports entertainment world, would probably look to incorporate such splash

Vince backed him, no doubt in my mind.

It was clearly an interception to me, hands under the ball, ball only moved a little when it was above the ground.

----------------

Thursday night’s game included a six-minute, five-second replay review

Posted by Mike Florio on October 15, 2021, 11:59 AM EDT

When it comes to the NFL’s replay-review process, two important things should be remembered.

First, the ruling on the field should be overturned only if 50 drunks in a bar would agree that a mistake was made. Second, if it takes six minutes and five seconds to figure it out, 50 drunks in a bar would not agree that a mistake was made.

Last night, a full six minutes and five seconds were needed to overturn a ruling that (God forbid) Tom Brady had thrown an interception.

Peter King had plenty to say about the situation on Friday’s PFT Live, and he’ll take a closer look at the moment in his next Football Morning in America.

For now, we’ll say this. No replay review should shut a game down for that long, especially not a prime-time game.

According to the rulebook, that shouldn’t happen. Says Rule 15, Section 2, Article 2: “A decision must be made within 60 seconds from when video is shared with the Referee on the field.”

The problem is that there’s no penalty for failure to comply. There’s no remedy at any, other than whatever tough questions Walt Anderson and/or Perry Fewell may have to answer later from the league office.

For most of the 2021 season, the replay process has worked — despite the changes made to the persons in charge of the process. Last night’s delayed effort to apparently search and search and search for a way to overturn what would have been (should have been) a Brady interception is not how it should ever happen.

So driven by favoring high ratings players, the NFL has lost the plot more and more this season. Absurd penalties to help get the more ratings-friendly team a first down, a TD, etc.... And then when the game is mostly won, do some things to help the opposition make a mini-comeback so as to keep viewers viewing, etc.

Can't have truly organic results occur.

Just getting ahead of this…having Chubb out Sunday really won’t have much effect on Stefanski.

Doesn’t use him properly and certainly doesn’t use him when it most matters anyway.

We will be able to direct blame a lot of places when Browns fall to 3-3

But missing their best player isn’t one of them

In a similar move

Just getting ahead of this.....having CMAC out Sunday will effect the Panthers chances greatly

Joe Brady cant construct a decent offense without him, certainly refuses to run the ball when it matters most anyway.

...ohhh our linebackers without Shaq Thompson suck too. Big day for Cook and Mattison. ;)
