John Elway was driving, again. It was Oct. 1, 1989, and the Browns were hosting the Denver Broncos. Fans in the Dawg Pound were throwing Milk-Bones and Duracell batteries at Elway, trying to affect his play or his psyche. Not only did the officials assess a fifteen-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty against the Browns, but they made the teams switch the play to the other end of the field, as far from the Dawg Pound as could be. Maybe the Cleveland fans were onto something, though, as the Browns won the game, 16-13.

The Browns are favorites against the Broncos in tonight’s Thursday Night Football game, but the line has moved toward Denver, particularly after Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield was ruled out with a shoulder injury. Which makes one big bet particularly eye-opening.

Caesars Sportsbook reported a $500,000 bet on the Broncos +4, according to David Purdum of ESPN.

Once the Browns announced that Case Keenum would start in place of Mayfield, the line dropped to Broncos +2.

We don’t know whether this bettor had some kind of inside information about Mayfield’s injury, just suspected that Mayfield’s injured shoulder would have an impact on the game, or simply thought Broncos +4 was a good bet regardless of Mayfield’s status. But this is another reminder of how valuable injury information can be, and why it’s so important that the NFL and its 32 teams are transparent about injuries.

Plenty of people are wagering plenty of money on the NFL, and knowing about an injury that moves the line before it moves the line would be incredibly valuable.

LOL, inside information..they said Mayfield had to get his shoulder popped back in the medical tent on sidelines vs the Cards on the broadcast. If the dumbarse writing that tripe watched the game and read sports reports he'd know that too.

Dual purpose back in the day in Phillie..listen to Survivor singing Eye of Tiger on loop about 7 times before the batteries run out and then you can hurl the flat batteries at Santa.

1. How come Washington don't get an helmet emoji?

2. How did you shrink that W-logo image into an emoji-sized pic?
I will check it out. Thought all helmets were there, nobody has brought it up over the years.

Which helmets are missing or incorrect?

They are all technically there, but a few are incorrect because of uniform changes or team name changes in the case of the Washington Football Team (formerly known as the Redskins)
Because when the emojis were created they were still the redskins. that emoji is still listed, but not used.

Its also why teams like the Rams, Bucs, Jags, Titans, Miami dont look like the helmets they use now. because of logo changes or just new designs/colors

Going to assume the Washington one does not have the Redskin logo anymore. Think this is it now:

If anyone can point me to a current set that would be a help. I’ll get to work swapping the new ones in.

AFC and NFC logos are about 20 years outdated. they both moved to 4 stars to depict the 4 divisions in each.
Falcons, Jets, WFT, Lions, Chargers, Rams, Titans, Jags, Miami, Seattle, Tampa

J Shuttlesworth did fix a few of them.

some are new logos like Lions, Falcons, Miami, Jets and Chargers. others changed the base color like Tampa and Tennessee.
Seattle, Washington and Rams are complete changes

Jags change every few years, last time they changed they had some mustard fade towards the back half of the helmet.

I think thats all the currently outdated ones
