How the hell did we beat Geelong? I still think it's too early to write off Richmond, we saw the same story last season. Appeared unmotivated and then came home with a wet sail.
Good sides know when the important stuff starts.
But they cannot leave it too late. Finish 5th to 8th and it is very difficult to win it, only two sides have won it from the lower half of the 8.

It was the totally manic pressure we put in them in the first half then hung on for grim death in the second.
Richmond started like that but never kept it up
They are yet to bank 4 points against Adelaide (so are Geelong tbf).
It's definitely too early to write them off, but it's looking increasingly harder. Not because of a lack of talent or ability, but because it's really hard to repeatedly "switch it on" again and again like they've done. Particularly when everyone just expects you to.
