Correct. Thought it may have tripped some up with Cutler having a 4,000 yard season the year before he was traded to Chicago. But you're very astute Mr. ZhiZhi.

Out of curiosity, how many Raiders? I feel like they didnt have one or only one

Rich Gannon in 2002 , surprisingly (to me anyway) Carson Palmer in 2012 and Derek Carr in 2018&19&20

Sharpe is spot on, would be utter madness...I can't see it after the previous failed QB factory....unless they trade Hurts also.

This is a reasonable explanation....

Offensive coordinators are either QBs or OL coaches for the most part. There weren’t as many black QBs 20 or so years ago and not many that became QB coaches. This will all start to change in the next 15 or so years. We are gradually seeing it with guys like Leftwich who went on to become a coach that would get elevated to OC and hopefully to head coach some day.

Black coaches on the offensive side have traditionally been RB or WR coaches.

The potential cap number just keeps rising (depending on who you ask)...

There's a number of dissenting opinions on what the salary cap will eventually fall at.

The reality is that the owners have to agree to bring forward money from future seasons to get the salary cap to anything over $180 million. That means the owners are effectively loaning money to the players in 2021 that the owners won't earn until 2022 at the earliest. Some of the cash strapped owners would be dead against such an arrangement.

NBC Sports' Peter King reports many in the Eagles organization believed Carson Wentz "couldn't handle hard coaching" and was coddled in his final years in Philadelphia.
King said Wentz's persistent clashing with former offensive coordinator Mike Groh, followed by the team firing Groh, created widespread perception that the quarterback was unable to take constructive criticism. Wentz's relationship with Philadelphia coaches -- including former head coach Doug Pederson -- steadily eroded after Frank Reich left for Indianapolis and ex-QBs coach John DeFilippo parted ways with the Eagles, according to King. Wentz reportedly didn't connect with many teammates in Philadelphia and could be "stubborn" with offensive coaches devising game plans. The team drafting Jalen Hurts in the 2020 NFL Draft "completely blindsided" Wentz, per King, further damaging his relationship with coaches team officials. It would seem Reich, Wentz's new head coach in Indianapolis, has more to handle than just improving Wentz's mechanics and decision making.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the Jets have received "real interest" in Sam Darnold.
Rapoport said the team would "complete their evaluations of the top QBs in the NFL Draft before making any decisions" on what to do with Darnold. All signs point to the Jets trading Darnold in the coming weeks. The Patriots and Washington have expressed some interest in acquiring Darnold in hopes that Adam Gase did not permanently break the once-promising QB. Rapoport said the Jets are in no hurry to deal Darnold, who could be left in career limbo for at least the next two months.

Seahawks OL Mike Iupati announced his retirement.
“My body was telling me it was time to close the door,” Iupati told Peter Harriman of The Spokesman-Review. A four-time Pro Bowl player, Iupati spent his first five seasons in the NFL with the 49ers, finalizing his 11-year career with the Seahawks from 2019 on. He appeared in 140 regular-season games including 11 postseason contests. He most recently missed several games late into last year when a significant neck injury cropped up, ultimately deciding that at age 33 his NFL career had come full circle. He walks away with $50.75 million in career earnings.

ESPN's Brady Henderson believes it "seems likely" the Seahawks will release mid-season trade acquisition Carlos Dunlap.
It "seems likely" because cutting the soon-to-be 32-year-old would clear $14.037 million in cap space while leaving behind no dead money. Dunlap helped energize the Seahawks' previously woebegone defense following his October arrival, but there is no way they can pay that price in a year where the salary cap is falling. It is quite possible Dunlap is brought back on a more affordable deal.

The Athletic's Sheil Kapadia believes Aaron Jones could get up to $15 million a year in free agency.
That would put Jones on par with Alvin Kamara and Ezekiel Elliott, and just $1 million less than Christian McCaffrey, the highest paid running back in NFL history. It would hardly be surprising to see a team break open the vault for Jones, who has 3,017 yards from scrimmage since the start of 2019 and whose 829 receiving yards over the past two seasons rank sixth among running backs. His 51 runs of 10-plus yards are tied for sixth over the past two seasons. Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst said the team would like to bring back Jones for 2021 and beyond, but at 26 years old, this will probably be Jones' only chance to break the bank. Packers backfield mate Jamaal Williams is also a free agent. AJ Dillon, who flashed late in the 2020 season, waits in the wings.

Chris Godwin said he wants to remain in Tampa but wants to "get paid too."
While a much sought-after free agent looking to maximize his earnings isn't exactly breaking news, Godwin's comments indicate he won't give the Bucs a hometown discount if the team wants to retain their star wideout. “An extension would be ideal," Godwin said Tuesday. "I want to be in Tampa, but I want to get paid, too.” Bucs head coach Bruce Arians has been clear that the team wants to bring back Godwin, who would remain a key part of the team's Tom Brady-led offense. It would be a major upset if Godwin ended up with a new team in 2021.
