I've never understood why umpires even need to be recognised. The less you notice them the better job they're doing.

Actually makes it worse. Any kid that sees Razor on TV or hears him on the radio will be turned off umpiring.
That's not a joke or anything.

Seriously, having a role model like that is what is driving people away.
What kid in the whole world would aspire to be like him? Zero.
