Spazz Cat watched The Doors last night, really enjoyed it, even tho I'm not into their music, at all. Or that whole hippie dippie ****ing era.

Was still quite interesting and I liked it.

And had BF been around back then, Im sure he would have been a regular on Death Lists.. i mean it was that bleeding obvious. I dont think Val Kilmer ever appears sober in the whole film.

It was okay, but it I wouldn’t rewatch it. Danny boy is all grown up in this one!

I get the feeling the book would be better than the movie, it was rushed at stages I thought. But my wife (who hadn’t seen the Shining) enjoyed it.

A few minutes before curtain time, one of the producers asked the band to change a lyric from "Light my Fire" — "Girl, we couldn't get much higher" — to "Girl, we couldn't get much better," because the former could be a reference to drugs (you think?). The band agreed to the change, but after the producer left, Morrison told his buddies, "We're not changing a word

They were supposed to play a ballad "Consideration", but in the segment before they were due to play they had Red Faces, and they watched Red Symons bagging out a young girl, so they decided to play a heavier song called "Yer Old" instead. At the end of the song, Daryl Somers said something like "Well, that was unexpected", to which the lead singer yelled out off-camera "F**k you!" Then when they walked out they trashed a photo of either Red Symons or Daryl Somers which was hanging up in one of the hallways.

Needless to say, they were never invited back.
