It might work. If Dan Andrews shot up Heroin there'd be a few thousand people who'd rush out and do it.

Winty might think about it lol :p

I don't wanna get it. But I'll have to so it's the way it goes.
Really don't want my kids to get it but it'll be the same
I'm not an anti vaxxer either. I think vaccines are brilliant.
Also I don't think I'm the minority. Don't know anyone who wants to get it.

I’m the same. I’m not in a risk group, so i will sit back and see what the long term effects are. Anyone rushing in to get an untried vaccine from a low risk group, cause the gov says it safe, is a bit of a blind sheep who would be silly enough to believe everything the government tells them. Especially from something 99% of people recover from.

Vaccinations are good things though, when they are long term proven to be safe.

Unfortunately we'll have to get it. They'll make it so it's hard to work, go to things and id say definitely won't be able to go overseas.
Just got to hold on as long as possible and hope it's allright.

It was SO interesting.

No idea it was that hard to land all those planes.. you just think "ok so land the planes" uh uh.... some planes are too heavy for the runways!! Would have smashed them up... then the difficulty in maintaining enough space, then parking the planes.. jfc
Not sure of they mentioned it but there's an airport on the coast where it has fully fledged, big airplane compliant airport facility despite the town only having a very small population. It's because it's the first airport available for flights that get into trouble over the Atlantic Ocean.

People are so worried about the long term effects of the vaccine they're going to risk suffering from the long term effects of a disease that can and has killed?🤨
A virus that has a 97% chance of survival. On top of the micro chance of catching it in australia.

The odds of catching and dying from covid, or even suffering long term effects, from the low risk group, is so small it’s not even worth worrying about.

Might be a different story in a covid riddled country like the us or uk. But we have the luxury of being pretty much covid free.

What about the immunocompromised that are unable to take the vaccine whatever reason? The odds of serious illness/death is much higher and to provide blanket protection we need high intakes of vaccinations. Something that won't be possible when people are refusing on off chances.

You say there's only a 3% chance of dying from covid but the odds of getting anything of note from the vaccine is probably like .3% if that (no stats don't quote).

Then those people have to be super careful. Those same people could die from the flu. Even with heard immunity they are at risk. Life ain’t fair, but it is what it is for those people.

And there simply isn’t any evidence to see what effects the vaccine will have, beyond people being able to walk out the door and feel ok. I’m sure they thought thalidomide was safe for pregnant women , till the evidence started stacking up after a few years. It will take time to prove it is safe. Other people can be the guinea pigs.

It would be much much lower than that. Just need to look at how many fatalities there have been here versus the population.

Why are people hyper focussing on the potential long term effects of the vaccine whilst competing ignoring that of the actual disease? Even if it's 1% death chance the chances of getting secondary effects like breathing difficulties would be much higher. And much much higher than that if the vaccine.

But what are the odds of even getting covid? How many cases have we had here vs population.

Looking it up we have had about 29,000 cases. Out of a population of over 23 million. Then subtract how many have been non-citizens in quarantine hotels.

Like the old Age building, or have you just decided to make the basement of the Mail Exchange your new office?

Nope, in a brand spanking new building apparently.
