I worked on the Barwon river in an engineering shop while waiting for some national service medical stuff so around 1970 roughly and had watched a mountain duck swimming around most of the afternoon.I think we knocked off at 5pm and I was living in Belmont,I pulled up on the Belmont bridge got the 22 off the back seat of Holden plugged the duck got back in turned around and drove back down to the river bank stripped to my jocks swam out retrieved my dinner and drove home.Try doing that now.

My mate lives in Beveridge and one morning we were hungover and he wanted ducks for tea.
So we pulled up at a neighbours dam and he got out in bare feet and his rifle and blew a couple away.
Only a couple of years ago.

Just played a few games of AFL Evolution after having had a bit of a hiatus from it, and I'd forgotten how woeful some of the special comments are in that game. At one stage Garry Lyon piped up with "Geelong need to stop the opposition from taking uncontested marks all over the ground. That's why they're trailing in this contest." I was actually 7 goals up at that time.

For mine they need to win back the average joe working class that should be their bread and butter.

And distance themselves from the Greens loons whilst still having something better on climate stuff.

No need to anymore. They'll follow the lead of progressive parties worldwide and go insane of their own accord.

Then wonder why the people they openly despise won't vote for them.

-focus on industry
-dont have such a focus on climate in actual ads coz people are selfish and the libs will launch scare campaigns. When you're in government then bring in your measures

Everyone likes sex. And if your worried about women's discrimination etc, it'll be probably ran by a clapped out ex hooker/stripper who's been around a bit and will take no shit in that regard.
Think about it? If someone will stick up for hookers and strippers they'll also stick up for you.

The problem I have with the greens is them getting on their high horse and criticising labor even though they're mostly trying to actually win elections ( with a rupert sized handicap mind you). Like Queensland coal mining is obviously trash but they can't just scrap it altogether because then libs would wipe the floor in an election and do god knows what.

Yes it would be bad to take down a couple of 5000-year-old trees. But it would be even worse to not do that if the alternative would be letting a greedy company come in a take out the entire forest...

The online component of the first aid course is done - watch 17 short videos, and after some videos there was some questions to answer

Main thing I learnt is that there's certain places & people to avoid, because incidents & accidents always happened in the same few locations and with the same couple of responders ready to jump into action - the woman who kept jumping up and saying, "I can help, I know first aid" became laughable by the end

Now to wait for Tuesday & the in-person component, which is likely to be focused on the CPR stuff
