The Buena Vista Cafe in San Fran is renowned for their Irish Coffee - I've never been to a venue where the drinks menu is almost irrelevant, and glass coffee glasses line more of the bar than beer glasses

I made sure to visit them on my last trip to San Fran, and then found out when flying to LA that they have a location at the airport and it happened to be near my gate

I'm guessing it was 10/11 in the morning and thought I should have one last coffee for the road, plus it was new year's eve & surely it's ok to have an early drink... I swear the airport version was stronger than at their location, and that if I had any more than one, I wouldn't have been flying. As it was I kept telling myself to just put 1 foot in front of the other

The only other time I've been interested in drinking during the early hours at an airport is when I was in Singapore & at one their business lounges - they have Tiger beer on tap, the frosted glasses kept cold in a mini fridge beside the tap and if you wanted a beer you just poured it yourself. I thought that at 6am though it would be a bit weird, though I did see others enjoying it. I did end up back in a lounge at a more suitable time and made sure to grab a beer at that stage
