Interesting catching the train to Melbourne for the football and observing peeps in regards to things such as mask wearing (which is meant to be mandatory on public transport)

- first match versus Hawthorn, I'd say about 3/4s of peeps I saw were wearing a mask or had one to wear

- a week later on the train ahead of our clash against Melbourne it had dropped a bit, with not as many people visibly having a mask

- last week I would say less than a quarter of the folks on the train wore a mask, especially on the way home when the train was packed & standing room

- today, I'd say it's about 80%-90% who are wearing a mask; clearly the most people I've seen on any of my 4 train trips during the season

Not sure if it's because there's been a bit more advertising about it this past week, I know I've had 2 emails from PTV about it. Or if it's too do with last weeks positive case who caught the train (thankfully no community transmission from the sounds of it), and if that was a bit of a scare or reminder that we're not necessarily over this thing

Or maybe a bit of both

I remember a couple of weeks ago on the train on the way to work there was a woman who had her mask dangling from one ear, and she had it like that for the entire journey. She wasn't eating or drinking either. Not sure how that's helping anyone.
