When you run out of room in the official carpark, just use the area outside the fence:

Because why walk up steps when you can use an escalator:

And Geelong, if you really want to use a marching band before the match, this is what one looks like:

How's how many cars there is

That would be maybe half the cars I'm guessing - I arrived via bus as they had city buses that ran to the stadium and that drop off point is to the left of the top image. And it's not just 1 or 2 bus lines, think how there's multiple platforms at Richmond St for trains, this was similar for bus lines so you needed to make sure you get the right bus home after the match, otherwise you could end up somewhere really strange

I also had a free bus ticket because i bought one of the city pass things - $50 and your can do half a dozen different activities, plus the bonus of a free bus trip the Candelstick Park for an NFL match (made the transport easy)

The atmosphere is just crazy around sport in the USA

On my first trip (2006) I was in Columbus over their home coming weekend time frame, and Ohio State Uni was home team for that weekends match - their stadium has a current capacity of 102,780. The Interstate was just totally backed up with folks trying to get to the game

My most recent trips have been over Dec & Jan, that's Bowl Season for football and I've been lucky enough to be in San Fran when they had a prep rally for one Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl between Arizona State Uni & Navy, and that was totally crazy

I was then in New Orleans for the Allstate Sugar Bowl between Oklahoma State Uni and University of Mississippi - it wasn't a prep rally but a full on parade, police escorts, marching bands, floats and being New Orleans a shit load of beads

Oklahoma State Uni's colours are orange - I saw one family that was 4 or 5 generations, decked out head to toes in Orange showing their support for USU, that included the tiny baby in the pram who wouldn't have even been able to pick up a football

You don't need to follow the sport or have an affiliation with any team playing to get caught up in the atmosphere when one is there at the right time

Did he win?
And he's good looking too FFS
I don't like this campaigner
You should see his Mrs....Drop dead gorgeous.....Today’s result is by far his greatest win, to keep KC to that score is quite simply amazing, they’ve been an offensive juggernaut for 2 years now....The GOAT he certainly is.

Yeah wow. That is full on. I dont follow the sport but that would be so cool to check out.
The New Orleans one sounds crazy

I went to a few baseball games.

They were pretty cool
I've never got to a baseball game or professional ice hockey match (been to a lower level match)

I was planning on going to all ice hockey match the same trip as went I went to the NFL and a couple of basketball matches - planned it so when I was in LA I could catch 2 basketball matches, and there was NHL (ice hockey) match originally scheduled to be played between them

Unfortunately 2012 is when the hockey players went on strike, so no matches while I was there

Went to go to the pinnacle (halls gap).

But the f**king road is f**king closed.
Just fooking great.Get F**ed..campainers.

Had to change plans went up mout William (willy) insteed.

Great viwes the highest point in the area.

Road blocked to McKenzie falls aswell.
Have to drive a extra hour round to it.
Grrrrrrrr campaigners.
