We've been shielded so well from the virus in WA I feel bad for being so ignorant for how it's actually been affecting real people.

Well its making me more angry apparently.

Its a sh*t show... got a few people im acquainted with in ICU - this sh*t is real and still getting people. And if it does not get you... it fu**s you up for years with renal, lung etc effects.

But apart from that... hanging in there.

We really are lucky here in Aus

It's so frustrating to see people complaining that Andrews overreacted with this week's changes of masks inside and less mates permitted over - seeing what's happening elsewhere they seem like such minor inconveniences in the grand scheme of things

Especially when reading about how there's States in the US where the Senate is reversing the Governor's orders on something like a mask mandate, and the only reason seems to be that the Governor is a Democrat and the majority of the Senate is Republican - so spite & a power trip rather than decisions based on health or medical advice on what's best practice in this situation

I hear ya. My dad died in November ( non covid) No funeral attendance for me. Border closed. No flights and 25k if you could find one and still not a guarantee to get there plus the Quarantine.
None of this is fun - so my tolerance for sarcasm on it not really there either.
