They really have no faith in their ability to get even a small number of cases under control without locking everything down.

I know. I try not to go off too much cause it seems to really piss people off.
But its so bad. I'm at the point now where I can't afford this one.
And it's so lazy and short-sighted. Seeing a friend crying when they shut the border last time cause her business was then truly finished was just brutal.
For a couple of cases 500km away?
Just pathetic and lazy governance.

There's a simple test you could run. Ask all those in favour of lockdowns if they lose their incomes or not.

I've thought that. Once they stop job keeper or whatever it'll be surprising how many don't like lockdowns that much any more.
Look i haven't had it as bad as many and enjoyed a break at times.
Got to get out some super that I was just gonna save.
But I've now spent all that lol

The biggest concern this time seems to be the worker from the Brunetti cafe at Terminal 4 (Jetstar) - they worked a 9 hour shift and there wa 29 flights that either departed or landed during their shift

This one location seems to be causing the most concern in terms of potential spread, just because of the vast number of people that would have gone through the terminal during that time period

Without that case, we may not be going into this snap lockdown

Yes. Lockdowns are clearly an issue. Well for a significant portion of the population anyway.
I didn't even know they cut job keeper. So that could be an issue now. Hopefully it's only a week. It should be.
