Just the one thing i am a bit unclear about is it occured "after" Brittany's- I thought he was fired a mere few days after.

Welcome to shoot me but Turnbull wasn't the worse - his biggest issue is that he was a Liberal member but his line of thinking of was more aligned with Labor; such as climate change policies, and if a Labor leader gay marriage may well have just been pushed through rather than a referendum to appease the party
