Nope.. I might get my money back too don’t know yet, going into the club this week and discuss the terms as they can’t guarantee you will be sitting in the spot you always sit in and kinda not happy about that.

I think the seating situation is understandable, with the current restrictions, the stadium potentially only being at 50% capacity to start the season, then the club would want the flexibility to maximise attendance and that may require people to sit in a different seat to normal. Though they are going to try to prioritise members being able to sit in the same stand as their current reserved seat - so hopefully we won't be sitting on the other side of the ground to normal

Along with the stadiums basically all going with digital ticketing this year, I think that and the flexible ticketing situation contributed to the Leagues decisions to go with mobile memberships as it allows the flexibility to update ones seat for each match they attend

For me, I think that officially I've had 3 different seats at KP but only sat in my most recent seat on a couple of occasions; instead I generally sit a couple of seats over so that a group can sit together rather than 1 of them being on their own

We've started adding ticketing info to the season fixture thread, and the most recent communication from the club is available there

basically though:
However, we do know you will be able to book tickets in groups of up to six seats, and mobile tickets must be used on game day. There will be no print outs.

There will be three priority groups:
- Priority 1: Geelong Social Club & Reserved Seat members
- Priority 2: General Admission & AFL Club Support members
- Priority 3: General Public (only available if ticket limits are still available)

How many tickets are available for each member priority group will depend on the Government approved venue capacity and will be subject to availability.

Tickets for each priority group will go on sale at different times and you will have priority to sit in the stand of your reserved seat/ social club membership, however this is a first come, first served basis.

Unfortunately, due to current social distancing and restrictions on how crowds can gather, reserved seat holders may not be placed in the seat you have become accustomed to over previous seasons as a reserved seat holder but it is expected to be in close proximity.

Currently, we expect tickets to go on sale the week of/before each game and we will provide regular and consistent emails to assist in providing you all of the information you need to watch our beloved Cats each week.

So its similar to a final tickets, during finals week then

I had one!

Bay.... damn i cant remember. Row C tho, seat 3/4

I started in GA Terrace Bay 3, Row L and seat 10 - it was the perfect seat as it was just inside the 50m arc but it was located on the curve. It meant I didn't actually have a seat in from of me, instead there was plenty of leg room because it was where the seats in the row in front met on the curve

Loved that seat, especially as it was only bronze level - after the redevelopment it became part of the Brownlow Stand and was suddenly gold level seating and double the price - stuff that, I moved to the other end of the ground and have a good bunch of folks around me

So... hold on. 50K at the hawks. Split it up between Hawks and geelong

Splitting that up between MCC and AFL...

We got no chance in fooking hell to go to that match

yes and no - it's going to be up to the home team as to how generous they'll be for away members.

From yesterday:

Yeah, but are we any chance to get a ticket?

Ralphy:
If you are a North Melbourne supporter your chances are off the charts. As a Tiger or Collingwood supporter, not so much. The AFL has cleverly handed control of how to divide the tickets to the clubs themselves, who are going through that process right now.

But for the MCG, of the 50,000 tickets available, 11,000 will go to MCC members, 10,000 to AFL members and about 500 to corporates. In all, the AFL says about 27,500 will be available to members of Richmond and Carlton in Round 1.

Plus the AFL and MCC members who are supporters of those clubs – they will presumably try to get those tickets to watch their side.

When are the tickets for Round 1 on sale?

Ralphy:
In the week before Round 1, according to the AFL on Monday. The Tigers-Richmond game is on Thursday, March 18 so fans will have to wait until the Monday of that week to see if they get a ticket or not.

So of those 27,500 tickets for the club members, what is the breakdown?

Ralphy:
Clubs are working through it as we speak. But the indication from the AFL and Richmond on Friday was that it might be only between 500-1000 tickets given to Carlton for its members.

But the Dogs are likely to get about 4000 of the 27,500 tickets available for the Pies-Dogs Round 1 clash at the MCG. So, effectively, clubs will do whatever they can to satisfy their massive membership bases and the away team will just have to wait its turn

So wait is it a ballot?

Not log in buy tix Monday 9am like prelims etc

Geelong looks likely to go first in, but based on membership category

Other clubs are going with the ballot

I’m quietly happy about this, as being an 11 game reserved September member I get priority 1.....But I do feel for club members who will miss out...again.

lol, got something of a job interview for a job I applied for over 2 months ago - feels a little weird as the job's expired & no longer advertised

Wonder if the person they employed didn't work out or something else has come up

now to get a good nights sleep and not overthink everything before lunchtime tomorrow
