I wonder if Sophie Ellsworth was one of them. She's a journo who moved from Melbourne to Sydney to get away from lockdowns and has been having shots on Twitter at Victoria's recent lockdown while saying how good it has been in Sydney and not having to move around wearing a mask or having a fear of being forced to stay home.

Because Gladys has been rather vocal about the actions of other states in regards to lockdown actions that have previously been taken and as such she's put herself into a position where she really can't use the word "lockdown" without coming across as hypocritical

Look I'm no fan of Gladys. That government is crazy corrupt. They're diabolical.
But id say if you put an official lockdown in it has devastating effects and really should be avoided.
It's just sensible.
Calming down hysteria instead of inciting it is also a more responsible approach from a leader.

Where she ****ed up was not doing this earlier; I haven't heard one medical expert this past week say that NSW was heading in the right direction with things in terms of the slow & steady approach, and instead said that they should have looked at a short & sharp lockdown last week

Instead, these new settings are in place for a minimum of 2 weeks until at least July 9 - act earlier and it may not have needed to be that long
