News 2021 Player Numbers

8 - TDK (Seems like the perfect person to take over Kreuz' number)
12 - Durdin
16 - Newnes (Have a feeling he will change back to his old number from the Saints)
26 - Fogarty
29 - Williams
32 - Carroll
37 - Parks
38 - McDonald (if we get him)
39 - (possible replacement for Curnow on LTI)
42 - Saad

Training pic on AFL site has TDK still in #12 and a short arse, most likely Durdin in #32.

Maybe except if they give you #57 when you first rock up as a rookie.

I'd still love to see Gibbo get #6, the number he wore at Willi when he won the two JJ Listons...if he wants it. For mine, he's earned it after being rewarded with a spot on the senior list.

Not a fan though of 'resting' a number....just can't see the point of it.

Then again, if you got something really high like 57 you’ve probably got the best shot possible of making that number ‘your own’ as it likely hasn’t got nearly as much history. Kouta made 43 his own. I’d like to see our players attempt the same thing.

Not to mention it screws with my head when trying to use the number to identify someone on the other side of the G if they’ve changed number! It’s hard enough to remember 44 odd numbers when there’s 12-15 list changes each year, I don’t need us to add some extra number changes on top of that!

Interesting that Newnes still got the 32, so it must've just been a glitch on the website. Carroll who comes from the same junior club as Crippa will wear his original number 16.

At the end of the day, numbers don't mean much. All that I ask is that the boys play for the jumper give it their all. Going to be a huge season this year.

Few surprises but happy overall. Zac at 6 would've come With Simmos blessing. Fog would be stoked with 8. Big shoes to fill. Glad Saady kept his 42 in the end.
