Lol seriously can we just have a ban on posting things ol clickbait Kornes says…

none of it is interesting and it’s all designed to just stir people up.

Hodgey wants a new rule! Hodgey gets a new rule.

No more clickbait s**t from Cornes in here.

Also:
Can we also threadban Rendell quotes. The bloke is senile.
Done ✔️

Possibly, however bringing across Chad Wingard in exchange for a 1st, 2nd and Ryan Burton when it was blatantly obvious for all to see our team was in a rapid decline is probably more idiotic though.

We need to do something drastic because we're dwindling even with those players that you're so keen to hold onto remaining in the team anyway.

Once again the Bulldogs are more than stacked in the middle of the ground but a player the calibre of Wingard is the one thing they're missing besides an elite ruckman.

Guaranteed that if Chad was in the Bulldogs line-up he'd be the player that we we're hoping he'd be for us 😁

Please don’t bring up the Wingard trade, still getting over it ...

There is literally no chance of the Bulldogs agreeing to what you are proposing

The crazy part is the price we paid. Port wanted him gone and crazy Santa Wright paid everything we had and more. 1st pick on its own was sufficient for a player being kicked to the curb.

Totally agree - although at least Chad hadn't miss over 2 years of football like another player we moved heaven and earth to land.

Seriously, an early 1st, 2x early 2nd's and Brad Hill for a bloke that hadn't played in close to 3 seasons.

Like I said given the fact we were trying to reopen our premiership window you'd forgive those mistakes as a supporter, but it didn't work.

The issue now is how do we correct these obvious mistakes in our list strategy?

Problem was that Santa wanted to be loved by all opposition list managers

Especially considering he had 12 months left on his contract.

Utter rubbish.

We’d just gone from 13th in 2017 to 5th on the ladder in 2018.

Most certainly likely.

However who in their right minds would have given up either of the below trade assets ?

• An early 1st, 2x early 2nd's and a 3x Premiership gun under 23 years of age for a banged up player (albeit with the possibility of becoming a star) that was not only out of contract, but hadn't played in almost 3 years.

• A 1st, 2nd and very promising player (runner up in the RS award) in his 3rd year for a player (albeit a superstar while he was there) that was being forced out their door.

That's just a couple of recent examples from a single club.

There's been others.

Pick 8 for nothing more than a handy half back flanker 🤔

Or how about 3x 1st's for a FA perhaps?

If both teams are interested it could quite easily happen.

Please don’t bring up the Wingard trade, still getting over it ...

Sorry mate - I'm still trying to get my head around how some seem to genuinely think it was an acceptable trade on our part.

Don't get me wrong, at the time the bloke was a gun but what we paid for and what we've got are light years apart 😪

Hawthorn overpaid for a 25yr old Chad Wingard.

...but, Dogs will give us Bailey Smith and a second rounder for a 28yr old Chad.

Either you’re trolling or you’re drunk.

He basically get them a flag with their midfield. So he's worth more than Smith. People go on and on about Smith but he's like the 6th mid in that team. (Bont, mcRae libba, Hunter Dunkley Treloar) I'd want way more than Smith. Jamarra Ugle Hagan and a first. Yep that's two first rounders and that would be my minimum. But as I said before Chad is not going anywhere.

Either you’re trolling or you’re drunk.

Or you're sipping on the Cool Aid yourself perhaps.

If it was the difference maker in snagging them another flag then bloody oath they'd make that trade.

You're massively overating Smith and underrating the value of Wingard.

But sure, have a little tantrum if it makes you feel like a superior human being 🥴

If you’re going to use a well known trope get it right.

There’s no tantrum happening here, just a commentary on how out of touch you are with reality if you think the Dogs would hand over Smith and a second rounder for Wingard. Delusional.

Post your trade scenario on any other board, ask them what they think and you’ll get laughed out of every single one of them, not just here.

Didn't Shai Bolton just put off contract talks til the end of the year?
This is where we need to throw some big dollars.
Bloke has had Premiership success so wont mind if hes coming to a team on the build.
Didn't they get him with the pick we helped gift them for Vickery as well?

Bontempelli, MacRae, Dunkley, Liberatore, Treloar and Hunter.

Surely he's surplus of needs for them.

A firing Wingard with that midfield feeding him the ball would be priceless and anyone that says otherwise is either trolling or delusional 🥴

So go and test it on other boards.

Bailey Smith is one of the best young mids in the comp, they don't 'need' him right now but he is the future of that club.

He has best player in the game type potential. If you honestly think Wingard has more value than him you genuinely have no idea.

You are drunk like the other bloke said

We have Jamarra who isn’t getting a crack already we do not need Wingard.

Add to that Wingard, say with Bevo had the chance to come to us and choose the Hawks. You get one chance with Bevo and he had it. There is ZERO chance we take him even for under what he is worth.

And then imagine it did happen in your fantasy land Smith has more value than Wingard in the real world. 21 year old v 29 year old on the decline.

Stop it
