Ben Keays has much in common with Matt Connell.
All effort, no skill?

And can someone, anyone, please tell him to GIVE THE FIRST HANDBALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Had a chance to steal it, he decided not to give it off to the players streaming past, got caught and it was game over. Just give the handball.

I have been a big keays fan but gee did he make some fundamental errors tonight that cost us big..he has to learn when to get rid of the ball and not hold on too long
Is that the last quarter howler where he looked forward, saw nothing, ran backwards, saw nothing, got nearly tackled, dogded, got tackled hacked it forward to a turnover.

Dunno how much of that is on him. Hard to play well when there's noone free forward or behind you for a handpass and you're surrounded by 5 opposition players.

As I recall he only had the ball in the first place due to a fairly serious amount of endeavour.

I might be wrong but if there is nothing on and you are in trouble, kick the bleddy thing 60m down the line and if it goes out and its a free for deliberate so be it but to either get done htb in a critical part of the ground or just turn it over is much more damaging.

No one puts in more effort but when the crunch was on he made some cardinal errors..buthe was not alone as i cant recall a game where we seemed to hit up opposition players with such regularity

Ahh Tregenza…the original Mr Run-and-Carry. Then he’d kick a high loopy kick that gave us no advantage

Hmm sounds strangely familiar..

I prefer his high loopys to the low darts we hit Coll on the chest with.

The ones by Smith coming out of defence and Shoenberg trying to pass inside 50m to Riley 20m in the clear come to mind.

Frustrating sort of game. Can't say I'm too devastated by not coming back in the end. It's one thing to have a memorable comeback against the top side, it's another to have one against a side near the bottom of the ladder. It feels like it would have been wallpapering over cracks.

We've got a reasonable amount of talent in the team but geez, we lack so much polish. Hopefully this loss stings them a bit.

On the bridge and on the train everyone is happy, having a good time, laughing, hitting up the Casino, and then there's me quitely seething and pissed that we can't execute a forward handball or hit a target in the last few seconds.

Are there some Crows fans who just don't care about results and just enjoy going to the footy?
Can they explain to me how they can be so unbothered about results?
Why they don't fall into a depressed state after each loss?
Are their lives outside of supporting a football team so amazing that results don't effect their mood for an entire week?
Adelaide broke me in 2017. Since then I haven't really felt a loss. I get irritated while watching, sure. But like last night I simmer for like 5 minutes afterwards then move on.

I made a conscious decision not to let this mob of amateurs affect my mood. A premiership is just not a realistic dream with this club so I enjoy the wins when they come, and sweep aside the mountain of losses.

Yesterday was also easy to cop because you could see within minutes of the first quarter that we weren't winning that game so you had 2 hours to prepare yourself.

Broke me in '93, '02, '05, '06, '09, '12, '16, '17.

Fair to say I get over a minor round loss in 30 seconds now.
