This year's Rising Star class has quite a few impressive key forwards, with Mitch Georgiades, Riley Thilthorpe, Logan McDonald, Harrison Jones, Jacob Koschitzke and Josh Treacy all looking good so far for their respective sides. Which three would you take as a 3-pronged attacking group? For me it's Georgiades, Thilthorpe and McDonald (controversial, I know). But the other three would make a pretty handy combination as well. If you added Beau McCreery and Cody Weightman as small forwards it makes for a very dangerous forward group of this crop

Didn't see anything like this from Thilthorpe last year to suggest he would be this good. Haven't felt this excited watching a young forward in a while - supreme talent and a work rate to match. Has strength and smarts and aggression and confidence etc. Will be one of the game's best I think.

Harry Jones' skillset is underrated. Promises a big breakout year soon I think. Looks like he'll be a star. Probably wouldn't take him over LMac or Georgiades but I do really like him though.

Agreed, does a lot that doesn't show up on stats sheet. In the West Coast game, kicked 1.1, he had 6 score involvements on paper but he had a direct involvement in 7 of our 12 goals. Tap ons, pressure forcing turnover, smart disposal after multiple efforts. He could have unbelievable influence, while only kicking 30-40 goals a year in his prime.

Bump.

Georgiades 32 goals from 21 games
Koschitzke 27 goals from 20 games
Jones 20 goals from 16 games
Thilthorpe 18 goals from 14 games
Treacy 13 goals from 15 games
McDonald 9 goals from 7 games

I was hoping all six would play enough to get to at least 20 goals this season but very promising from all of them. Treacy probably looks the weakest at this point but I've really enjoyed his work so far still. Jones I'm really excited about as an Essendon fan, although will probably get more attention next year.

Are they all first year players/similar age?

Promising debut seasons if so

Kosi's 3rd year
Jones and Georgiades 2nd year (Jones had stress fractures in his foot all of last year, Georgiades played 8 or 9 games)
McDonald, Thilthorpe, Treacy in their first year.

I’m very excited about Kosi. I’m not sure how true this is but I’ve read that he’s been a key back all his life. Only started playing forward in the pre season of last year

Like the look of Kosi, Thilthorpe and McDonald from this group. Georgiades is getting it done though despite being a bit smaller.
