OK, this was very tough!!
Tried to make it realistic as possible with what teams are actually trying to do (Coll and WB getting points this year, STK wanting picks this year, GC happy to move out of this years draft a bit), but also had to add some players that might not move, like Hunt.

This... is awful. Well done.

That said I wonder if Sydney and Essendon fans would be that devastated.
We don't need more rucks, we have Draper and Bryan who are young and well-rated internally. Midfield is more important and Parish is now central to that.

The key to this thread seems to be to trade out players who are underrated but loved by supporters of that club, and trade in expensive players that don't fit your list needs/demographic.

This... is awful. Well done.

That said I wonder if Sydney and Essendon fans would be that devastated.

Last player on our list we would want to trade put for depth reasons is Tom McCartin.

We are very weak in regards to key defenders, so yes we would be devasted.

From a Sydney standpoint, we'd be ****ed if we lost McCartin. We have midfield depth, but we are severely lacking in KPDs.

I did Sean Darcy to Essendon because they have Draper. You wouldn't really want to be using one of Draper or Darcy primarily as a tall forward, granted would give them an absurd advantage in the ruck.

Brisbane
Out: Neale, Pick 47, Future 1st.
In: Pick 6, SPS, Future 2nd(Freo)

Genuinely think Fages could get the best out of SPS. Lions fan growing up.

Freo should back themselves in to improve next year under Longmuirs 3rd years as coach.

Genuinely forgot about Draper and didn't realise McCartin was such a big deal.

With this new information, this is easily the worst trade I have seen.

Two parter:

MEL Give: 52, future 3rd
CARL Give: Zac Fisher, future 4th

THEN

Brisbane give: Neale, 14
Brisbane receive: 6, 52

Freo give: Cerra
Freo receive: Neale, 14

Carlton give: 6, 52
Carlton receive: Cerra

Why on earth do we give up Fisher for 52 and a future third? PASS

The expectation for Cerra to Carlton was based on the Blues being the only team willing to give up a pick Freo were after yeah?

The Neale thing changes everything. Suddenly a third team is involved meaning any Vic side could work with Brisbane to secure the draft capital to satisfy Fremantle for example.

Unless I've missed the news that Cerra had already stated that he wants to go to a coach-less underperformer?

Carlton Receive: Adam Cerra(Fremantle) and Future Third(Frem)

Brisbane Receive: Pick 6(Carlton) and pick 27(Fremantle)

Fremantle Receive. Jordan Clark(Geelong), Lachie Neale(Brisbane) and pick 18(Brisbane)

Geelong Receive: Pick 25(Carlton)

For the Dees to land Cerra, i think they're going to need to be. But to land him whilst in a premiership window, you'd pay it.
And the Dees aren't know for trying to eat their cake and have it too. When they want something, they'll make the deal happen

You need to add King and Rosas Jnr to the GC outs, which makes it look horrific for them.

Ok, I’m bored on the train to work, so here’s a random Freo based one for a laugh.

Freo trade Cerra & Future 3rd for 6 & 25 (Carlton)

Freo trade 6 & Future 2nd for Neale & 47
(Brisbane)

Freo trade Lobb & 8 for 3 & 22
(Gold Coast)

Freo trade 3 for 7 & 16
(Richmond)

Freo trade 25 & 27 for 15 & Future 2nd
(Dogs)

Freo trade 22 for Clark and 30
(Geelong)

Freo take 7,15,16,30,47 to draft.
gain Neale, Clarke & future 2nd (dogs)
Lose Cerra, Lobb, 27, Future 2nd, future 3rd

Hard work keeping track & fair haha

edit - late addition

Freo trade 7 & 16 for Jackson
(Melb)

edited finish
Freo take 15,30,47 to draft.
gain Neale, Jackson, Clark & future 2nd (dogs)
Lose Cerra, Lobb, 27, Future 2nd, future 3rd

Good effort, but I don't think GC would trade pick 3 for Lobb and 8, let alone also throw in 22.

I think the starting premise of rating Cerra higher than Neale in terms of trade value is flawed.. Also do not see Carlton giving up the first 2 picks in this years draft and then having our first pick at 61.. Thats the sort of move you play when you have just won the flag, not when you have finished 13th..

you realize I’m not actually proposing these trades happen. Just a bit of a lol.

though I can see Carlton giving up both those picks.

That's a fine rationale, but Carlton seemed to be linked to a bunch of players at other clubs (Cerra, Riccardi, Hewett) - they have to be paid for somehow, and while some clubs may accept future picks, others will want current picks. A club can't expect to get the immediate value of a player, but expect other clubs not to be able to replace a departed player (plus the risk of the input from that player driving down the value of the future pick!) unless there's an advantage for them to do so.

Carlton
Gain- Cerra, F3(Fremantle)
Lose- 6, 25

Fremantle
Gain- Neale, Clark, 18(Brisbane)
Lose- 6, 27, F3

Brisbane.
Gain- 6(Carlton), 27(Fremantle)
Lose- 18

Geelong
Gain- 25(Carlton
Lose- Clark
Honestly think this is the best Neale/Cerra hypothetical yet. Maybe slight unders for Brisbane and over for Geelong, but otherwise fairly balanced

I may be in the minority, but I would be very content if Carlton gave up #6, #24 for Cerra and acquired Hewett as a F/A.

I'm not sure as to Riccardi's value but I dare say it wouldn't be more than a 2022 3rd round pick?

WBD
Gain: Max Lynch
Lose: Patrick Lapinski

GC
Gain: Mason Cox, 2022 2nd (probably a pick in the 18-22 range)
Lose: pick 43, pick 55, pick 58, pick 66, 2022 3rd

Melb
Gain: Pick 34 (another early pick to help with Cerra), GC 2022 3rd (35 - 40 range), pick 66
Lose: Sam Weideman, pick 42, pick 52

Syd
Gain: Coll 2022 3rd (probably a pick in the 35 - 40 range)
Out: Dylan Stephens (salary goes to retaining Parker)

Coll
In: Sam Weideman, Dylan Stephens, Patrick Lapinski, 741 draft points (total of 2488 points) - can match Daicos bid even at pick 1.
Out: Max Lynch, Mason Cox, 2022 2nd, 2022 3rd
