I think we can all accept that Richmond think he is worth more than pick 38 - he is a good prospect that is down the order at tiger land so he is looking for opportunities elsewhere. Maybe pick 30?

We are giving CCJ an opportunity - we are in the position where we need a developing ruckman and cap space isn't an issue for us.

Compensation however is a negotiation - there is no 'right' answer - there is a ball park answer - 25, 35, 38, 50 - but no 'right' answer.

Like all negotiations it will be depend on the strength of each parties position - we have pick 38 to offer - we could potentially include Taz in the deal but you don't seem interested in that.

We are not handing over 20 because that is too much in our opinion given CCj's track record and we have other plans for that pick as part of our rebuild.

Now in this instance we have the psd available to us and while we have said the psd is a last resort we will use it if required.

There are many at North who are saying stuff Richmond - straight to the PSD for CCJ - however the more moderates around here are happy to part with 38.

I think 38 is fair compensation given the opportunities we are giving CCJ and given the psd exists to assist those who finish 18th.

I'm happy to part with 38 for CCJ, Tarrant is another transaction where either a pick comes back to us or the 38 is reduced to our next pick (was it 69?)

DMac not stupid. He and his management well aware that this is a salary dump and we have stacks of cash. Angling for more.

Doubt the Suns reach out on a deal if he's not at least open to a move.
Yeah seems odd. Can they swap Brodie for him if he doesn’t want to go

By the Looks of it it will be 38 only because you guy's say!!
So it will be...
Sydney just resigned great news!!
I don’t particularly think so. I think 38 would be the “base” as per Luffs comments, the other parts of the deal will build a bit of extra value I don’t think 20 will be involved unless 26 comes back it would be irresponsible to offer 20 in this situation

He is on 500kish next year.
At a guess we will have offered something like 350kish x2 years
That would be similar to what we did with Sleevo last year.

Well He is a champion!!
Did you see what that meathead Brisbane player did to him.
fu** me jump straight into him!!
Lost alot of weight looks 15kg
Yeah just having a bit of banter. Certainly will be difficult for Dusty to fully recover but never doubt a champion player!

Nank was 22, the same age as CCJ.

The Tigers handed over pick 46 in the draft for the 22-year-old Tasmanian.

Sydney wanted to keep the 199cm big man but he was out of contract and had several suitors looking for more ruck depth.

“We’re really pleased to welcome Toby to the Club; while only 22 years of age he’s a strong and competitive ruckman-forward, which is really exciting,” Richmond talent manager Dan Richardson said.

“Whilst we offered a new contract to Toby and would have liked him to stay, we understand his decision to move on for greater senior opportunity and we wish him all the best for the future,” Harley said.
All class.

Some clubs could take a leaf out of their playbook.

Shifting Pick 40, Tarrant and some pick swaps should be enough unless we give pick 20 and get back pick 26 and CCJ.

That may be what they are ultimately trying to achieve given they have no real bargaining position. An upgrade of 26 to 20 may be more value to them than 40 given their pick in hand. I still believe if we stand firm we could get away with 40 only or use the PSD option.

Come on Gary Rohan, he is sh*t!!! CCJ isn't him watch the Adelaide Tigers Game
He clunked them, kicked 4 goals, really good Kick. played an awesome game.
Good luck to him!!
Understand the kid wants to play, so would I
Pick 20
I'll offer you Pick 1. (Its either Pick 40 or the PSD, pick one)

would be happy with that
