I can see Luff having some mega excel spread sheet with every trade ever done, with every player stat, everything you could think of. He puts in CCJ's stats and out pops a comparison of every like player ever traded and what pick/player was involved. Bang - 40 it is. Take it or leave it. Aligns with what he said the other day about the value of the trade.

I bet other clubs would try the usual not data based response to which the reply would be numbers don't lie! (Well unless you have a good accountant!).

Looks like I quoted the wrong thing [emoji51]. I wanted the refer to Finlayson's trade being a 3rd rounder. A bloke with 3 years as best 22 and that's what he's worth. CCJ should be worth around this or less on evidence based decisions.

-North want CCJ, Tigers say they think he's worth a pick in the early 20s, but NM have pick 1 in the PSD, too bad fair value MUST be paid, 4 clubs get involved (two with absolutely nothing to gain) and pick 21 goes to the Tigers.

He and his manager would be very uneasy until the move is made.
I think he goes as a trade on his own once the FA deadline starts to loom a little larger.
His management will totally tell the tigers to get it done.
Taz will request he goes through on his own for less complication.
We will oblige.
