Yep club vice captain we offered 1 yr as we did with boomer for man seasons.
However there is a benefit to you guys in including him, that preserves Chol compo which is a big win. We also forfeit any chance of compo for taz (however unlikely)

gary Rohan has had plenty of 4-5 goal games since he came to the cats and won a game after the siren for them, that’s worth a lot more then ccj has done in 9 games. Get lost pick 20 he’s not even best 22 for you and you’ve already got 7 picks in the top 40 as it is, but for us he’s best 22 and fills our plots better then yours at the moment, keep this up and I hope the club pick him in the psd

I think the deal will end up being Tarrant + 38 for CCJ. That way Richmond don't lose the Chol compensation.

I think we can all accept that Richmond think he is worth more than pick 38 - he is a good prospect that is down the order at tiger land so he is looking for opportunities elsewhere. Maybe pick 30?

We are giving CCJ an opportunity - we are in the position where we need a developing ruckman and cap space isn't an issue for us.

Compensation however is a negotiation - there is no 'right' answer - there is a ball park answer - 25, 35, 38, 50 - but no 'right' answer.

Like all negotiations it will be depend on the strength of each parties position - we have pick 38 to offer - we could potentially include Taz in the deal but you don't seem interested in that.

We are not handing over 20 because that is too much in our opinion given CCj's track record and we have other plans for that pick as part of our rebuild.

Now in this instance we have the psd available to us and while we have said the psd is a last resort we will use it if required.

There are many at North who are saying stuff Richmond - straight to the PSD for CCJ - however the more moderates around here are happy to part with 38.

I think 38 is fair compensation given the opportunities we are giving CCJ and given the psd exists to assist those who finish 18th.

Again you don't understand leverage. You could have walked him as a free agent and North would have no say. You want to do a trade to protect the Choll compensation and immediately you hand leverage back to North. You need to make it worthwhile for North to do a trade.

There's no way in hell GC didn't discuss this with MacPherson and his manager before talking to North. If he wasn't open to coming to us, why would this even be discussed.

It just doesn't add up for mine, especially a player in his position being that fussy over an extra year on a good 2 year contract in a developing side.

Sam Edmund has a better strike rate, but he's been wrong too.
