Sounds like Tom is making things up again.

I must retract my previous statement about Tom Morris, it turns out GC hadn't actually finalized this with MacPherson before approaching North.

What an absolute s***show from them. Can't begrudge MacPherson for not wanting to move from sunny GC for not much extra money, but Jesus this makes the Suns list management team look like amateurs.

That’s how I’ve read it. It was never about McPherson just pick 19. North were essentially trying to buy pick 19.

Dees could offer their future 1st and back themselves winning the flag again making it pick 18 anyway. No chance we get close to it imo.

I'd think our selling point would be salary cap relief/list spot as opposed to a better exchange of picks, depends what GC value or need more, given the Dmac trade got advanced as far as it did, we'd be hoping they need help there more than a stronger hand of future picks. Just need a suitable GC player and maybe this time they could ask them first!

Stupidly I’d go for Brodie mainly because he was picked three places ahead of Jy... then I remembered that Ahern was a 7 pick and look how that ended up. So probably best to avoid with that merit.

In saying that, more structurally I think with Dumont and Tyson out - it wouldn’t hurt.
