There must be something the saints know about him that we don't as i know they interviewed him 3 times so it was no random pick

I hope so at least his numbers are going up. I was very keen to get Poulter and he had a good year overall so he's got some competition.

Clearly clubs let players go for a reason.
Membrey decision making
Crouch disposal
Butler inconsistent
Jones disposal injury concern
Hannas injury concern
Kent slow
Wood inconsistent
Mckernan SPUD

Swapping later picks for players no problem...but elite players come at a cost that is often well above the potential draft value in exchange.

Did Hawthorn win the Jaeger Omera trade? We certainly did

Membrey was hardly “let go” after playing one game for the Swans.
He requested to leave after they signed on Adam Goodes for another season.
Think that’s a bit of a long bow to draw.

Also doubt that was the reason Crouch left Crows - think it was a less than amicable break up. He wanted out and they were happy to see him go based on his “trouble.”

An upgrade though? That writes of any compo then. I'm happy to lose them if we are getting something right away, No point in a draft pick that might take 5 years to get to that level.

MG mentioned a free agent for them. So that means ready to go surely?

Would he come cheap to replace Dunstan?

You are moving sideways to a player with an injury history. It's like swapping your 5 year old Camry for a 5 year old Camry but one that's spent half it's life at the mechanics. He'd want to come for a lot less wage to take the gamble.

Yeah, I am alright if we are swapping a good mid with a good mid. As much as people don't like him Dunstan has made our midfield look much more solid than it was. If we are getting Dunkley for him for example it's a no brainer. If we are letting him go for Matt Crouch maybe not so much.

He'd likely cost more than Dunstan even with his injury issues.

Ps, get yourself the express VPN it never sh1ts the bed

Look at you two jumping at shadows, so it crouch for sure is it ?
I don't actually think Crouch is someone we would be going after. Too similar to his brother - we need different types in our midfield.

But he would cost more than Dunstan would even with his current injury issues. Dunstan resurgence might even make it a bit more difficult for Crouch finding a new home since he's less banged up and would be cheaper.

I was more asking how you think it is crouch but I agree he is not the type we need, I'd rather keep Luke too

Always liked Dunkley, but pretty sure he is contracted for next year

Pretty sure he’s at least been AA before and is first picked for Adelaide when fit. Dunstan provides a similar output but is on the outer at our club. Crouch would cost heaps even though he’s not a super player

He's a bigger accumulator than Dunstan but still has the messy disposal and probably suffered from Rockliff syndrome where he gets a lot but gets accused of a lack of impact.

Looks like Luke Parker and Cam Guthrie are the only two top mids up for FA.
