I agree , i can't fit him into our best 22. He's not a winger , but i think Sharman could be, and i don't want Sharman bulking up too much too soon, his agility is too important to risk.
Ok, Sharman on a wing?? Dont get that at all. We stumble onto a genuine medium forward who can possibly kick 40 goals a year and you want to put him on the wing.

We don't need Bing. King/Membrey/Sharman/Marshall is plenty to work with. Prefer to go for a cheaper type like McLean and use our first rounders for midfielders. We have so many of the pieces right, just need high end mids.

Definitely need to load up on mids at the draft this year & then hope like hell that bloody Clarko doesn’t convince Ben to stay on the GC in 12 months time

Pendlebury would be a very interesting one. He takes a midfield spot away from a kid, but I think his experience would be invaluable and would be happy to have him as a coach after that. Averaged 23 touches this year.

West Coast did it well with Mitchell.
It would certainly take a few out of their comfort zone. He knows how to get the ball out of the middle and would be good for the younger guys. The club didnt go down that avenue with Goddard when he was available after the Dons, so I dont think they will chase Dependlebury.

The club may well rate an OOC young mid (e.g Dylan Stephens) similar to the mids available at our first round selection, this year. These types of players can go for a 2nd or maybe even a 3rd; our expected compensation for some of our free agents.

If we nab this type of mid, then the club may well be happy to move this year’s 1st in a deal for a more developed mid, a ruck, or the pipe-dream of Bing.

He covered a fair bit of ground today, Ratts had him dipping a toe.

Bing
Mking
Sharman
Membry

can all be in a Forward line together easily.
Membry was great as a swingman this year and can help back if Sharman stays in good form. Also can play like battle did around the ground.

Sharman can also roll into the ruck and swap with Marshall while a young ruck finds his feet.
Our inside 50 numbers were pretty good this year. If we can keep that up and loose the disposal of ross and dunstan and replace it with boys who can kick…well

Skies the limit

Ratts’ comments were really interesting saying we have targeted some players from other clubs and will hit the draft .. confirmation we still being aggressive at the trade table but hopefully still keep our first pick

I rekon Stephens from the Swans is gettable. Would be worth a future second special if ever there was one. Chuck in a late pick for McLean as well & get them both down.

I'm all in on Pendles too. Pies would be nuts to let him go but if they do, he's our next midfield coach for sure.

We have a couple of NGA kids this year don't we?

Grab the best mid with our 1st pick, land a couple of NGA options, snipe a Stephens/McLean double, pick 150 for Pendles & then grab a state KPD to sit in reserve.

We are in for another big off season IMO.

imagine Pendles working one on one with Hunter Clark to develop that bullet time skill
