I just expect Battle is still got massive upside and why get rid of him when we have no key positions players now, so he is needed , if he was excess for sure. -- just what I feel --

It would be interesting if the Suns offered us 2 first round picks for Membery , knowing they said they have had enough of kids in the draft.
I would take that , I would trade Battle for a pick in the top 10 if it came to it as well , suppose it all comes down to what is offered
Sure and why not get 2 firsts for Alabakis whilst we are at it! 😳

Sharman's four games he has had 39, 83, 83 and 93 percent of game time. We can reasonably assume that he will see an average of 85% TOG from next season.

Sharman has kicked 10 goals in 4 games an average of 74.5% TOG. If we extend that to 22 games at an average of 85% TOG Sharman is just under 63 goals.

That isn't taking into account natural progression and improvement, which I calculate to add a fraction over, let's say... 33 goals.

So, in conclusion, Sharman will ton up next year.
He will kick his 100th in rd17.

Left field thought here.

I wouldn’t mind us having a crack at Sam Petrevski-Seton. Out of contract. Carlton are a rabble, he is played out of position. Stuck in the VFL quite a bit this year.

Good be a good pick up for cheap. A brilliant talent that just needs to get fitter.

So much talent. Can’t say I pay a lot of attention to his progression at Carlton but he must have been pretty underwhelming. Half back/back pocket doesn’t strike me as his wheelhouse though.

Feel like a player of his style would be much better deployed as a HFF with stints in the midfield.

Edit: article says he played that role this year

I’d like him if he came cheap but maybe he goes home to WA

Son in law is a mad carlton fan so I watch some games with him, very frustrating player but does have talent.

Re Sharman's height, it's worth noting that he was playing on Alex Pearce - 197cm. Sharman seems to have really sticky hands and takes it at the highest point. He's obviously really skinny at the moment and will put on some more size, but he does look to have the game to be a second tall. With King down there, he's never going to get the main defender anyway.
No one takes the ball at the highest point , unless its a grubber

Interesting LOL , You really shouldn't post late at night

Except opposition teams might work him out.

What are they going to work out ,
A - He Leeds really well and to the right spots
B- Has a good leap
C- Has a good tank for a kid that has not been in the system long
D- Very smart footballer

He is not a one trick pony

Not exactly related but speaking of Dogs mids, I am so glad we didnt end up with Treloar last year.

Crouch was the better mid to get.
Remember all the chatter when shiel was on the market, he would have been good for us but not at that price. Well he’s not in the bombers best at present, that’s how quickly things can change.

And we would have had to give up the Max King draft pick to get him. Huge bullet dodged there.

Checked out some of Dunkleys work and he would be very handy but seems to miss a few games and he wasnt considered good enough for the dogs midfield a while back and he tried to get a trade after spitting the dummy. Not "killing it" this year but that could change if he plays very well this weekend.

He's an absolute gun, they just have too many similar players to fit them all on ball full time. He's like having an extra Steele, the Dogs just have too many top flight mids and Libba is playing his best footy ever out of the centre. Dunks played as a mid for the first time (at 22 years old) in 2019 and averaged over 28 possessions a game, 6 tackles pg, polled 15 Brownlow votes, AA squad of 40, vice-captain of the 22 under 22 and runner up in their Best and Fairest award. He had a syndesmosis injury last year and missed a long stretch. And he's still only 24 so should have another gear to go to.

If he was a possibility you'd have to have a crack. He'd probably make more impact than Ben King right now. We could then ruck Marshall without replacing Ryder.

He needs to get a move on, he should be a much better player than he is.

Treloar is a better player and his run is like having another Jones. A fit Treloar would have been gold but his length of contract and injury made it a huge gamble and after Hanners just too risky. Crouch has had a shocking injury history and has only hit his 100th game this year.

Treloar ended up being a lucky miss by the look of it. Crouch ended up being a good solid mid. He had more peaks at Adelaide but seems to have become more consistent with less lows as well.

Where did the trading Sharman crap start FMD , we find a good young talent so then you want to trade him ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

People obsessed with Ben King who'd sell everything to have two Kings even if there was no-one else to kick it to them.

Do the Kings have a brother? I want him as well.

And David King as the coach.

King up baby.

He’s a gun but I think he did his shoulder as well and that‘s been a problem for a lot of players. I think his price will have dropped if he still wants out but he’ll cost a good first rounder. Many won’t agree but I’d pass on him and take our first to the draft. I’d happily do battle and a second rounder but I think the bulldogs would laugh at that.

Gee I would, imagine having him and Steele. Both tackle heavy, both high production. It would take us from good to very good out of the middle. If he only cost a first it would be a bargain.
