Pies trade 43 to Dogs for Lipinski, which is 378 points. I think that means they don't have the points to match a pick 1 bid on Daicos again. Maybe our late picks can head their way in the Fort/Ceglar/Lynch deals.

I would put some $ on Lane playing some time in our best 22 next year should we not recruit a ruckman in this trade period. The mistake was drafting HSmith and Lane. Not Fort

I still firmly believe we need another mid fielder with some pace & a decent tank as a priority before a ruckman. Why keep Lane, Fullerton & Ballenden on our list if they arent sometime in the future considered a ruckman?
How many midfielders is too many we already have mids that can’t get consistent games right now at the Lions the KPP seem to be going early I agree should we look at players that can play in multiple positions on the field? We have mids coming in next year. We also have picks this year where the best options are likely to be mids.
List management involves planning for the future not just the now and having a couple of ruck options I think is absolutely fine.

agree with everything you say.We have mids coming in next year. We also have picks this year where the best options are likely to be mids.

The midfield wasn’t what cost Us against the Dogs it was not having a capable forwards to help Daniher from getting triple teamed. I agree that Melbourne beat Us in the Midfield but a lot of that was Gawns superiority in the Ruckagree with everything you say.
In the final series we fell short in the midfield which cost us games I believe. I'm not sure we can wait another 2-3 years before a young draftee becomes the hardened/gut running mid we need now to compete with the main flag contenders on 2022.
List management is 100% what you say and much much more. It appears we are under some salary cap pressure so looking at draftee's rather than recruiting someone who would cost more maybe what they plan to do but those guys will not be ready be part of our best 22 in 2022.
Agree with drafting guys that can play multiple positions but I definitely think we could do with some more mids even with a couple coming next year. A lot of the mids that aren’t getting consistent gametime are the same, slower, inside mids with questionable disposal and we already have a few of those in the team. How many midfielders is too many we already have mids that can’t get consistent games right now at the Lions the KPP seem to be going early I agree should we look at players that can play in multiple positions on the field?
Triffett from our Academy is someone who interests me at a late pick as a midfielderAgree with drafting guys that can play multiple positions but I definitely think we could do with some more mids even with a couple coming next year. I like him as well and hope he finds his way onto a list but with CEY, Matho, Dev, Joyce and Ely Smith just in our reserves alone I’m not sure where he fits with us.Triffett from our Academy is someone who interests me at a late pick as a midfielder
It did in my opinion. Macrae with 39 touches, Libba damaging with every one of his 21 possessions & say no more about Bailey Smith. For me watching that game, those 3 bulldogs were the difference. They had 10 more clearances than us and the umpires well on their side. The midfield wasn’t what cost Us against the Dogs it was not having a capable forwards to help Daniher from getting triple teamed. Yes, that extra player was very handy for the Dogs.It did in my opinion. Macrae with 39 touches, Libba damaging with every one of his 21 possessions & say no more about Bailey Smith. The few times I saw him (Fort) play this year in the VFL he was very impressive. He has a presence about him which I really like - he loves physical contact and loves to impose himself on the contest. Will be a valuable addition.Listening to Del Santo on trade radio and he saw a couple of VFL games this season involving Darcy Fort. He thought he was fantastic and couldnt understand his lack of opportunities at the Cats. All good news if we can get him.
We had 14 more inside 50s than the Dogs but no one to kick too that was what hurt Us the mostIt did in my opinion. Ladhams want to get to Sydney looks like pick 31 gets it done says Matthew Rendell
Rather than how many times it came in, maybe it was more the way it came into our forward line!! Thats been an issue for a while now in our game plan.We had 14 more inside 50s than the Dogs but no one to kick too that was what hurt Us the most
The mids not getting game time this year aren’t really up to it in my opinion. How many midfielders is too many we already have mids that can’t get consistent games right now at the Lions the KPP seem to be going early I agree should we look at players that can play in multiple positions on the field?
Future first maybe Sydney should be pushing higher up the 8 weren’t that far off Ladhams is probably the better ruckman than HickeyAlready reported that Port have knocked that back.
Hard to see Sydney giving more than that.
Doesn’t look like Daicos will be bid on by North at pick one, so the Pies don’t need the full points to match a bid at pick 1.Pies trade 43 to Dogs for Lipinski, which is 378 points. Yep I'm on the Fort can really play team.Listening to Del Santo on trade radio and he saw a couple of VFL games this season involving Darcy Fort. He thought he was fantastic and couldnt understand his lack of opportunities at the Cats. All good news if we can get him.
Bailey and Rayner are likely to be getting more midfield time next season Berry missed most of the year both Prior and Sharp are capable midfielders we could try McCarthy who can play quite well inside don’t really see midfielders as a massive need prefer players who can play multiple positions or trading into next years draftThe mids not getting game time this year aren’t really up to it in my opinion.
CEY, Ely Smith, Tom Berry and Tom Joyce (though Joyce more due consist injury and unfortunate circumstance).
Plus we’re going to need to replace Robinson and Zorko in the midfield in the not to distant future.
I would like some more mids that can push for best 22, and put pressure on JBerry, Lyons and Mathieson for spots in the team or as first in from the reserves if there is an injury.
