Hey guys, continuing the annual tradition of making a draft thread for our draft content + mock draft.

For those interested, we had Knightmare on the podcast earlier this month to discuss the upcoming draft:

Here's the top 20 mock in video form:

Top 20 Mock (15/11 - More to come)

#1: North Melbourne Jason Horne-Francis (SA) 184cm MID/FWD
  • The clear choice for number one, JHF adds a point of difference to a young North list as an explosive, game breaking midfielder/forward. Round 1 ready.

#2: Collingwood Nick Daicos (VIC) 183cm MID
  • The Pies have already committed to Daicos, as a well rounded, high production midfielder who can hit the scoreboard consistently. Potentially the player to rebuild around going forward.

#3: Western Bulldogs Sam Darcy (VIC) 205cm KPF
  • Unlike his father Luke, Darcy is more of a oversized key forward not unlike the King twins. For the second year in a row, the Dogs land the best forward in the draft.

#4: GWS Josh Gibcus (VIC) 195cm KPD
  • With two picks in the top 10, the Giants reach a little here for need and take the best key defender available. Considered Callaghan strongly here but believe the Giants need an exit strategy for their ageing defenders.

#5: Gold Coast Suns Finn Callaghan (VIC) 191cm MID
  • The Suns would have had an eye on Gibcus given their clear positional need for a KPD, but will go best available instead. Callaghan with his outside ability adds a point of difference to an already strong young midfield.

#6: Adelaide Josh Rachele (VIC) 180cm FWD
  • The Crows would consider Ward here as the best available mid but given the rumours of him not wanting to leave Victoria, and their historical retention issues, they'll avoid him.
  • They need match winners, and they'll take this Greene-like medium forward in Rachele.

#7: Hawthorn Matthew Johnson (WA) 192cm MID
  • The Hawks would be eyeing Callaghan but are rumoured to be considering genuine inside mids in Hobbs and Johnson. Johnson gets the nod due to his size and late season form.

#8: Fremantle Josh Ward (VIC) 181cm MID
  • Despite the retention issues of late, Fremantle take the risk on Ward as the best available mid.

#9: Richmond Ben Hobbs (VIC) 183cm MID
  • The Tigers need to replenish their midfield and Hobbs is a low floor, blue chip option to kickstart that process.

#10: Fremantle Neil Erasmus (WA) 188cm MID/FWD
  • Fremantle could use a midfielder with genuine forward utility and the homegrown Erasmus presents as best available.

#11: St Kilda Mac Andrew (VIC) 200cm RUCK

#12: West Coast Eagles Arlo Draper (SA) 185cm FWD/MID

#13: Essendon Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera (SA) 188cm MID

#14: Port Adelaide Jacob van Rooyen 194cm KPD

#15: GWS Giants Jye Amiss 195cm KPF

#16: Brisbane Lions Josh Sinn 186cm DEF

#17: Richmond Leek Aleer 196cm KPD

#18: Sydney Mitch Knevitt 194cm MID

#19: Melbourne Tyler Sonsie 181cm MID

#20: Brisbane Lions Josh Goater 190cm MID

More detail & picks to follow.
