I thought Lambert was a class above in the Frankston vs Coburb game.

A 5 goal haul against North helps his stock too.

I hope this eastern seaboard version does well because it’s be great to see guys drafted from Frankston, Coburg, Southport, Aspley etc.

Billy Gowers showing that he could still make it as a forward after 10 goals in two games. Only 25 so hopefully he can recapture the form of his first season with the Dogs.

Nathan Freeman , 40 and 42 disposals the last two weeks.

Tyler Roos, 43 disposals today.

This(EasternSeaboard) VFL competition is going to fast track some guys ontoAFL lists imho.

A number of reasonable talls already showing talent too good for the lower level.

Wooler, Poulter, Hammelman, Crossley, Goddard.

Sure. If he wasn't already drafted last year at pick 30...

No. Why hide something that is in full view! I’ve been called out on it. Happy to put my hand up and say I got it wrong. I’m not editing something for the minority who can’t keep up

You would think clubs would be avoiding freeman
he turns 26 in july and soft tissue injuries dont get any less as players get older
Demands of AFL both playing as well as training could easily be an issue again.

What's there to lose, he's on a 12 game contract?

If he does another hamstring it's not as if he's on a 3 year deal.

A list spot

Why give him a guaranteed salary and also pay the price to his club when there re so many talented 19 year olds that have upside
If he was to get a gig it would have to be to a club thats in the window as depth. I personally doubt he gets another chance

He’s only filling a list spot that’s been ruled out for the season or a vacant list spot. He’s not filing a list spot for the following year unless he deserves it, which would be a win in itself.

There’s some clubs that might take 2 or 3 players in the draft that it makes more sense for.

With soft caps and other money cut i would find it difficult to believe a club would take risk with a player they dont see as have potential to be a long term player unless its a situation like GC and their desperation for a fill in Ruckman.

We shall see

I'd probably take a punt on him if we didn't have other needs. I still think we need a ruckman in his mid 20's and another inside midfielder, if we put Hurley on the LTI list

Here is the list of VFL players from youngest to oldest who are 2/2 for landing in the bests. Not conclusive either way but useful for highlighting players who might not be leading the goalkicking or disposal count.

When I saw Williams Gowers I obviously thought it was Bllly Gowers and thought he is much younger than I thought, than a few names down, there is Billy, confusing to say the least

Were these guys overlooked or are they delivering as late bloomers?
