I'll disagree with Blakey being lucky, think his season was a smokey for AA squad yet alone U22, but I'll agree that naming 4 HBF and shoehorning some into a back pocket is an issue.
Equally 3 small forwards that typically play FP being named on the field, 1 of them should be bench and a genuine HFF on the ground.

Genuine HFF like Nic Martin

Gulden should be on a HFF
Rozee should be moved to a wing
Petty should be in one of the back pockets
Fogerty should be in a FP and would make the forward line a nightmare to match up on.
One of Duke or Warner should be starting mid over Smith if we are serious about 2022 form.

Duke is a bit unlucky but it’s a position with a ton of competition so it isn’t that bad. Also it’s tan voted, this is probably one of the least relevant accolades in the AFL. Good recognition for the ones that make it but eh I would hope not too many are getting worked up over it

Yeah, fan voted obviously, just shows how dumb most fans are.

Duke is stiff for elite competition, but there's options here to make it A. Work and B. Reward good players and not just players who get in due to allocated positions etc.

I reckon we kind of expect it these days.

Without looking Newcombe would possibly be top 5 of all eligible players in this squad for coaches votes this year as he was coming 24th in the comp before the votes were locked out for the remaining 2 rounds, but he can't even scrape onto the bench in this team. Meh.
