Genuinely interested in what makes you think Spurs will bridge a 21 point gap Ross and finish ahead of us?

I don't think Spurs will get 21 extra points, I think we might meet in the middle and both get 80+ points. 90+ point seasons are simply insane to keep up.

We've had 90+ three of the past four seasons. Same player group with a few differences and the same manager. I dont think we win the league but I think we challenge City and finish 2nd pretty comfortably.

They've got Harry Kane upfront. You've got the Uruguayan farmer version of Andy Carroll.

You make it sound like that sort of gap has never been made up before. Forgetting you did it a few years earlier.

I don't think we will bridge the entire 21 point gap but do see it closing to less than 10

I think both City and us will get 90+ again so if you think Spurs can improve to 80+ then fair enough. I doubt it though.

I still think there is a large gap between City and Liverpool and the rest.

Is there a thread anywhere where Jodly doesn’t act like a tool.

Do your own prediction Jod and put us wherever you like. Getting all precious because a team is put above your sacred Liverpool is just a bit sad.
Agree, calm down Jod😛.

Spurs have a good squad and a manager who's won as many Prem titles as Klopp. It's not outrageous they'll close the gap.

Edit. (Emoji added for context)

I dont think I needed to calm down or that I was precious.

I mean it was a pretty level headed reasonable discussion. Ross said he thinks Liverpool will go backwards and Spurs will go forwards and meet in the middle and Spurs will finish 2nd. I disagreed and said I think there will still be a gap between Liverpool/City and the rest.

That was basically it.

Haha.

But BigFooty gotta BigFooty amirite.

Yeah I don't see the need to gang up on Jod. This is a discussion forum and he is allowed to have his opinion (which he gives good reasons for expressing)

Personally I believe this may be Spurs' season for a number of reasons:

  • Conte wins titles in his second season at wherever he goes. He is a top class manager
  • Spurs have had a huge transfer window
  • There's some minor transition at Liverpool / City
  • Kane & Son aren't getting any younger. Can see them both putting a huge season in while they are still at the top of their games.

For me all these factors lining up could see Spurs winning the title this season.
