I am so happy that the big team ups of 2021 failed.

Teams built to win on top end talent and not on balanced well built rosters.

They would probably be really strong if they kept it balanced and didn't add Westbrook or Harden. But they thought they could overpower their depth and balance issues with star power. It has failed in the most spectacular way possible.

Agree with all points. The 7th/8th guy used to get $3-4m over 2 years not that long ago, now it gets to $12-15m for the same.

Justin Holiday is a good example. Can you imagine how he must feel going from $76k to $6m over 10 years of being a bits player?

No sport does useless stats better than the NBA. Here is mine for today.

Trae has increased his scoring every game since the opener. However his +/- was the best at his lowest score and the worst at his highest score. Probably some sort of record.

NBA earnings aside, I find it astonishing Magic has built a Billion dollar (ish) financial enterprise for himself, given how nuffie he comes across on Twitter and his previous role as GM of the Lakers.
Has there been a successful NBA HoF’er who has been any good at managing? They are completely hopeless
