Just gonna throw in a minor West Australian bitch and moan while im here. Not quite as bad as Fyfe winning a second brownlow running second to a fan poll on willie rioli.

if it wasn't for Barass, WCE wouldn't have won two games ;)
The AA was an insult to any club outside of Victoria.

Only expected them to go with Brayshaw tbh. You’ve got to be exceptional as a Freo player to be considered for All Australian. Pavlich and Sandilands are about our only players that got the recognition they deserved and even they got robbed once or twice.

Mundy, McPharlin, Johnson and Walters have one All Australian each. Fyfe has almost as many Brownlows as All Australians.

Cox will be overlooked when they select the final team. Almost nothing surer. Brayshaw should be in the starting mids so I can’t see him being overlooked but I’ve seen worse for Freo.
I knew we would get overlooked, but it made no sense to include half of Geelong and Carlton - even Heeney should have been named as a starting forward before some of the others.

Footy Classified didn’t mention Andy winning the AFLPA MVP. Talked about all the other awards tonight. Not even Ross Lyon said anything.

Being voted as the best by your peers who you play with and against surely rates higher than any other 'award'.

andrew brayshaw, all round class act.

I am absolutely OUTRAGED Bailey Banfield wasn't Medi-sub of the AA Team! 😡

And the AA selectors got that one 100% correct imo

Priddis won clearances but was otherwise a liability. Wouldn't have got a game for Freo in 2014.
So how do you explain why Priddis was selected All Australian centreman just one year later? It wasn't like he improved markedly from the age of 29 to 30. He was the same player! It always seemed to me that it took Priddis winning the 2014 Brownlow for people to actually acknowledge he was a good player and to judge him for what he was instead of what he wasn't... Maybe not the most silky-skilled superstar, but an ultra-consistent, hard-working, tackling & contested ball-winning machine.

Finished 4th Coaches Award (75 votes)
Finished 2nd Brownlow (28 votes)

Andrew Brayshaw is an outstanding player as recognised by his peers voting him the AFL's best player, well done young man.

All Fremantle people know his attributes off field are equally impressive with strong leadership qualities and a fantastic work ethic to go with it.

Andy is the leader of the young cohort at the Dockers that includes some equally outstanding players such as Serong, Young, Clark, Chapman who are all potential AA's in years ahead.

Others with plenty of potential include Freddy, Walker, Erasmus, Amiss and Johnson etc.

There is the nucleus of a very good team there who have the right attitude and skills to keep us in contention for many years to come.

A big pat on the back for the club to have such a strong recruitment and development system in place. Freo are doing a lot right and we can all be proud of our teams direction.
