imagine that..we take him, he develops and just when he is starting to hit his straps..boom, along comes the Tassie Franchise and off he goes

TBH, I'd be very gun shy on Tassie kids in the near future with what is coming
I really don't see Tassie luring too many young blokes back there unless they are real family orientated.

Not much happening in the way of entertainment etc after dark unless things have changed since I was there a few years ago.

We might have a late draft bolter here in Kaleb Smith, that's some pretty impressive speed from the running defender/midfielder..

Yeah - it's nothing like the party city that Radelaide has a rep for

Most people here are so starved of entertainment ... we even celebrate the fact it's winter.

Why on earth would we draft another medium defender/wingman?

Brodie Smith, Tom Doedee, Will Hammill, Lachlan Sholl, Mitch Hinge, Wayne Milera, Andrew NcPherson, Patty Parnell, Chayce Jones not enough coverage?

We need mids though at #23 you're drafting more on potential/projection and a tall KPP/Ruck type
Problem is, amongst that lot, I don’t see one elite primary rebounding half-back prospect

Smith - aging, Doedee - more an interceptor, Hamill - low accumulator/conc concerns, Sholl - more a wing, Hinge - I like him but more secondary, Milera - again more secondary, Moose - nah, Parnell - still unproven, Jones - low accumulator/inconsistent

Unless we decide to continue to plug Dawson back there, we need our Hayden Young. Now I don’t think we should grab one this year, we have other priorities, but we need to look at bringing in one via the draft or trade/FA (Redman?)

Yeah I’ve seen him get a bit of buzz. That’s lightning fast

Could go top 25-30. Wish I saw more of the WA prospects this year haha

Not sure we are into Keeler so it could be Dowling … there’s also a mature age north player with speed that attended SA combine ( forget his name )

And agree Dowlings under the radar , wish he was a better kick but everything else is pretty good
Dowling would make sense from a need perspective, though I think he’s a reach at 23

Unless it’s Barnett at 23 and we’re hoping someone like Dowling falls to the RD

Sure, have read about next years draft and who knows what pick we may have and could be a great player available to us. Guess what I was floating is after a total rebuild at what point is it getting too late to go to the draft for your No 1 elite
mid ( arguably your most important player )and you really need to trade one in.
Yeah I think we are already at the point of needing to bring in a top flight mid through trade/ free agency cos if we have to wait several years for a new draft recruit to develop, we remain in the wilderness in the mean time. Disappointing we didn't get someone this year, hope we are targeting someone already for next year.

TAFKATMS said it was bullshit that's good enough for me.

Dunno... seems overly full of himself.

Milera could be better than that but needs to pull the finger out.

Definitely need to look at at getting high quality rebounder soon, but i don't think this year is the time for it.

Reckon it might be Shaun Bennier KPP Swingman though we'd be looking more to use him in defence I'd think.

Mature ager Frank Szekely is another small forward, can play up the ground a bit at SANFL level but surely AFL clubs would only be looking at him in a small forward role? Can't really see it when we just delisted Rowe, admittedly Szekeky would offer more in the pressure department.
Yep good call re Bennier … rookie

They encourage these kids to talk themselves up and sell themselves

Don’t see any real issue

Even the way he said it , he’s not saying he’s definitely the best player just that he’d back himself to get there

Nothing wrong with it if he backs it up on the track with hard work andgame day which he seems to do (but can also improve )

No red flag there for me … at all

I dont know your experiences.. but in my nearly 50 years on this planet I’ve found that the people most confident in their ability, and who’s abilities actually back this up, are those who dont talk themselves up to others…

And the “big noters” who talk themselves up and clearly feel the need to tell everyone how good they are normally always turn out to be the poor performers who are insecure about their actual abilities..

The exception of this being fighters (boxers, mma etc) but half of their big noting is showmanship, mind games and a bit of bluff…
