Interesting, a good move. We need some good picks next year's given the list spots we will have available. Not sure what it means for us this year though.

We could still trade back into r1 this year - that NM F2 could be good ammo. Need to keep an eye on how many list spots we end up freeing up - if only one, then maybe it's just Michalanney, if more then maybe we're keeping options open.

Interesting possible draft bolter Ed Allan might take some heat off Phillipou.

I recently posted that I thought that Ben Keays might still be on the Rookie List because I could find no official AFL information on him being upgraded during last year’s draft (despite Hamish announcing it on our website). I subsequently found this on Zero Hanger, it states that it’s the official AFL released player lists for all clubs for 2022 (as at 1 Dec 2021) and it clearly identifies Cat A & B rookies. Of course Ben is shown on our senior list.

Hence I now eagerly wait for a contracted player to be spat out to enable a 2nd ND pick (as WCE just did with Zac Langdon).

I think I’ll give this all a rest for 100 days, hate being so wrong.

Apparently don't need to spit anyone out, as players can be moved from senior to rookie list between drafts.

I think we still can, seeing we do hold two f2s.

That said, it looks more and more likely the only addition we're planning on to take in the draft is Michaelaney as 56 gives more points for that. I have to wonder if we're spooked a team is in love with him as a prospect.

I think we need to hold picks in R2&3 if we trade a future 1st, but trading a future 4th onwards doesn’t effect anything.
