I'll summarise

There were purported red flags, I said the crows are very much in to him.

I'd be interested to hear about how many meetings there have been between the parties, where the meetings have been and what the general consensus has been.

No doubt he's confident and driven, if they are red flags then it's not really a surprise we are where we are.
So much into him that we might look to trade up?

Just gauging the level of interest from what you’ve heard, as he’s obviously not making it to 23

thats not happening heres why

you would have kept 5 (6) which is safely going to claim him as hes top 10

you would have used 2023F1 and 23 on rankine which in total is the same draft capital as the trade up

if we trade up it wont be that high or using 2023f1

Depends if GC asked for 5 specifically and if we then acted in so-called ‘good faith’

Still a number of scenarios on the table with the picks we possess, as there always is (even though most or all of them won’t eventuate)

Off the phillipou topic for a sec

if north go Sheezel, and Wadlaw or Tsatsas, and get pick 1 next year and draft Reid, surely that’s one too many mids.

they should have gone Cadman.
Reid can play anywhere , he would start at half back just like Daicos did

Re Cadman - they Obvs don’t rate him close to the top 3 on their list and that’s ok

They must be waiting for a v special key forward ( in their eyes ) to pull trigger and realise they’ll have more chances

In meantime having Sheezel at half forward and Reid at half back will help

They prob think they’re getting a top 5 priority pick next year too

knowing reid previous form more likely we trade 23 down and put another 2nd round into next year to avoid paying too much for michalanney

Reid gets the Hodge comparison a lot - I see it

I don’t see North not rating Cadman, rather they have 3-5 players at the top of their rankings who are all pretty evenly spread. I.e. no clear-cut pick 1

GWS obviously disagree, but that also might be due to Cadman being more willing to move interstate than the others at the top

I don’t think NM finishes last next year FWIW (that’ll be between WCE and Hawks) - depending on his growth, I can see them going for Archer Reid

Maybe. There’s always exceptions, i.e. trading up for Cook, moving a pick into the current draft for Taylor etc.

If we really rate someone up the order who’s sliding a bit, I wouldn’t put it past us to be a bit more aggressive

I’m not as down on the hawks

West coast are in all sorts of strife

Yep exactly re Cadman they didn’t have him in their top 3 , doesn’t mean they don’t rate him

Honestly, I don't have to be here. I stand by my source no matter what what's his face says. I can't be bothered having a pissfight about it.

Anyone here still questioning my intel must have some serious issues.

I hope those who had an open mind actually enjoyed it.

I'll no longer waste my time here.

Ciao

You'll also want to note that this is the second time I've been run off this site for providing genuine intel.

There won't be a third.

And?

What a s**t take

You do have to wonder though mate if we were SO into him, why not Rankine for a future 1st and keep our Pick this year?

People are having a laugh if they reckon 'Gold Coast wouldn't have taken it because they've got academy selections next year'. Come 7PM deadline last week they would have taken it, and we have a pick right in the range for Phillipou.

Dawson trade shows we have the nerve to stick to our guns in a trade, and a future 1st would still have been great value for Rankine.

There's no way we work back into this draft in that 5-10 range without coughing up our future 1st and something else. If we do that then we've done this whole trade period backwards...

I said Izak was the priority and for some reason Reid said straight away that 5 was on the table.

I do agree though, my issue is more with the red flags statement.
