Still puzzled as to why SA played him down back against WA

He's played down back for almost the entire year up until the last month or so. He won the school champs medal for Sacred Heart across half back and played there for them all year. Also was down back for most of the year for Glenelg but they moved him forward late in the year. Still reckon he is best across half back but good signs for him that he can produce in multiple areas. Has really improved throughout the year to move himself more into contention for next year.

Looked very good as a forward playing school footy last year, looks more natural in that position to me.

yeah it's interesting. I guess it depends how much you've seen of them playing in certain positions. As I said he won the medal playing across half back and also played a game against another top school right at the start of the year where he was literally impassable. He took maybe a dozen intercept marks. It was ridiculous how hard he was to take out of the game. Like a Stewart of Lever at AFL level.

Anyway as I said great problem for him to have to be so proficient in two roles. He might end up forward like you suggest but it makes you heaps more draft-able if you can do both

interesting take. I'm not even sure Adam gets there at all. Could be totally wrong but really concerned about his running and spread defensively. He was awesome in the GF and thoroughly deserved the medal but not sure his skills will translate unless he can improve his running. Unlikely to be as effective inside against men as he seems totally developed already.

Each to their own though as I have been wrong plenty of times before

Yea I can see what you are saying but he's certainly got runs on the board atm, He's got a body that will be very solid when fully grown so I think he will end up with a bigger frame than most for his height at least, not expecting him to turn into a Paddy Cripps but his size shouldn't be an issue. Knows where to run, works incredibly hard from contest to contest. He's a thinker, can see he's smarter than most of his peers by his positioning and running patterns. Not expecting him to be a star at AFL level but a solid to very good midfield cog.

I haven’t seen hunter carter in a while… injured?

Also missing Blake Hansen, Eagles wingman. Haven’t seen him in a few weeks either?

Will be interesting to see if magor plays forward or midfield.. I’ve only seen him forward but would love to see his midfield work sometime.

Skills have been shocking so far. No suprise to see the likes of Ryan and Sadler getting a heap of the ball going up against a fair few 05 born players. Jakob Ryan down back which I’m not overly happy with, Taj Rahui had a nice run early in the game but not much else.
