Surely you just reduce it down to 3 minutes and if clubs need extra time, grant them 2 minutes like they did in the old days.

Also not sure about Gil reading out the names, get the head recruiters do it since they actually know the players including the pronunciation of their names... Pick 3, player 6969 Chris Judd, Sandringham Dragons.

Ok I'm really starting to sound like one of them 'back in my day' types now but man 4 hours for a draft is ridiculous (even for nuffies like us).

The AFLW draft this year featured a player from the Dingray Stingrays which was great.

I don't think there are any surprise inclusions or omissions. All had great moments at some stage. Great to see 2 bottom agers make the team.

How do people see Philippou's running gait? To me he looks very Cripps esque in terms of just an ugly looking plodding motion, makes me a bit concerned...then again Cripps went off and did a heap of speed training and has no issues bursting out of a stoppage these days, just a minor worry is all.

To me he looks like Bont if Bont wasn't a natural runner and nowhere near as smooth across the ground.

He's a better athlete than Bont already and definitely a better runner. He is a sub 3sec 20 and a 6.05 2k time trial. He is at 192 quite simply elite athletically. He is a long strider but rarely gets caught. Vic Metro game perfect example. Injured and from a standing start he running away from the Vic Metro kid who used to be a state track runner in short distance athletics. Sorry can't remember his name

Very surprising watching his highlights and a few of his games online. Wouldn't have thought it but thanks for the information. Will be keen to see him at the combine.

Are the draft combine kids just all packed into a hotel or something?
They're in a big dorm room like in Squid Games, only the fittest survive
